B. Prince(#13) fights for the end zone and gets in to set the Michigan State career receiving touchdown record at 28. B. Prince had the best game of his career, catching 12 passes for 254 yards and setting the Spartan record for touchdowns in a game at 4.... Wow!

R. Patton(#21) is already making a name for himself in just his second game. Last week he stop an Alabama drive to give the Spartans a chance to win, this week he forces a turnover.

D. Burnette(#29) had a much better game than last week. This week he had 17 carries for 106 yards, but still has yet to score a touchdown.

Bummer to lose in the first game of the season. Keep working, maybe another conference title in the works.

Battle for the Megaphone

The Megaphone Trophy is awarded each year to the winner of the football game between the University of Notre Dame and Michigan State University. It was introduced in 1949. The Notre Dame side of the trophy is blue, while the Michigan State side is green. The rivalry includes many great games, such as The Game of the Century, arguably the greatest college football game ever played. Notre Dame currently leads the all-time series 49-29-1.

B. Prince(#13) was a deciding factor in MSU's win. Here he catches a 9 yard pass for the Spartans only offensive touchdown.

M. Sanders returns a fumble 58 yards late in the 3rd, putting the Spartans up by 9 points.

The Spartan's defense may have given up a lot of passing yards(389) but they stop Notre Dame when it matter, on their final drive. Here D. Watson(#94) sacks Z. Green(#9) for a loss of 9 yards, putting Notre Dame in 3rd and long.
