Last season the UCF Knights defeated the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, this year UCF is struggling with a record of 3-2 (3-0) while Southern Miss is 5-0 (3-0). It started out with the game being a low scoring game, Southern Miss outscoring UCF 7-3 to end the First Half. The Second Half would be a lot more exciting as it was down to the Final Minute, it started with UCF being outscored 7-3 in the Third Quarter and then outscoring Southern Miss 8-7 in the Fourth Quarter. Southern Miss recovered a fumble and ran it all the way for a TD, that being the reason they ended up winning the game. UCF now falls to 3-3 (3-1) and Southern Miss keeps their winning streak going as they improve to 6-0 (4-0).
