UCF Wins first Bowl Game under Wheeler!


The UCF Knights won the Autozone Liberty Bowl

After a mediocre 6-6 start, the UCF Knights won the C-USA Conference Championship to improve their record to 7-6 (7-2), they then faced the Ole Miss Rebels whom had a record of 6-6 for the Autozone Liberty Bowl. The game started out looking like the Knights would fall to 7-7 as they were outscored 7-0 to end the First Quarter, however, the Second Quarter would be a lot different as UCF would outscore Ole Miss 14-3 to gain a 14-10 lead going into the Second Half of the game. The Second Half would be VERY boring as UCF would go on to win the game by outscoring Ole Miss 7-0 in the Second Half to end the game with a 21-10 victory. UCF won their first ever bowl game under Aaron Wheeler, this bowl being the Autozone Liberty Bowl. UCF ends the 2011 season with a record of 8-6 (7-2) while Ole Miss falls to 6-7.
