What Ball State needs to do
Stay calm. Ball State tends to get out on the field and get a little too excited to start the games, which sometimes leads to silly mistakes and turnovers. Look for the Cardinals to come out with a high dose of MiQuale Lewis and Corey Sykes to start of off the game. Kelly Page will try to improve the passing game as well, so look for big games from Orsbon and Hill.

What Western Michigan needs to do
It's been three weeks since the last time these Broncos have seen the field. Some say the rest is good for the players, but this early in the season it may have a reverse effect. Western Michigan needs to take things slowly going into this game and get their heads back in to football mentality. It's not going to be easy coming back from such a long time off, but if they can, they have a shot at taking this game.

Prediction: Ball State 21-17

I used to play with Ohio all the time, so it's cool seeing a MAC legacy. Good luck and have fun.

Re: Conquering the MAC - A Ball State Dynasty

Offense on track, defense steps it up too.

Summary:
It was over when...
Winchester was stopped on fourth and two. The very next play Orsbon reeled in the wide open pass and trotted into the endzone to put the Cardinals up by 25.

Game ball
MiQuale Lewis had another spectacular game. He was their go-to man after Page injured his thumb in practice. With limited throwing ability, Ball State had to put the game into the hands of their sixth-year senior, MiQuale Lewis. He took on the challenge and ran all over the Broncos defense.

Key Stat
The front three of Ball State had great pass rushing going on during the game. They managed eight hurries and four sacks, their best performance this season.
