Hall of Fame NFL

This is an idea I had for a new season/franchise. I will simulate the NFL experiance on Madden 10 but I will include some Hall of Fame Talent. More specifically I will allocate two Hall of Famers, one offensive player and one defensive player, to the existing teams and see not only how they do, but which great along with a current NFL roster can reach glory.

The Hall of Fame Allocations are as follows:

NFL PRESEASON RECAP

Teams prepared this preseason to try and make a run for the championship when the games count.

Major injuries
  • Josh Freeman of the Bucs broke his forearm and will miss 11 weeks of the season.
  • Tommie Harris of the Bears fractured his foot and will miss the first two weeks of the season.
  • Beanie Wells tore his tricep muscle and will miss all of the 2010 season.
  • Bob Lilly of the Cowboys was the first Hall of famer to go down with a broken hand, he will miss 6 weeks.
  • Percy Harvin of the Vikings will miss 10 weeks with a dislocated hip.
Major signings
  • The Cleveland Browns signed Dallas Clark.
  • The Indianapolis Colts sign Jeremy Shockey to back up John Mackey.
  • The Colts also sign star linebacker Antonio Pierce.
  • The Tampa Bay Bucs make a big splash by signing Phillip Rivers for the season.
  • The Cowboys have signed Lawyer Milloy.
  • The Jets have brought back Kurt Warner and have signed him to a one year deal.
Stats
  • Joe Montana threw 9 touchdowns in the preseason and is ready to go.
  • Paul Hornung led the preseason in rushing yards with 318, Frank Gore was second with 298.
  • Andre Johnson and Frank Gifford tied for the reception lead with 23. Derrick Bowe of the Chiefs had 5 touchdowns.

Well, when you figure that the Titans already have an outstanding line and piss poor receiver core, one would assume if you're giving them free players, an offensive guard isn't that one. Bruce Matthews is a hell of a guard, but who are you going to sit for him? In every Madden 10 franchise I did, both of my offensive guards after the first season were damn near a 90 overall. My top receiver? Less than an 85... I mean, a CB and WR would of been a much better choice.

Yes I made an effort to put the Hall Of Famers on their original team where possible. Of course for some teams like the Bears and the Cowboys there were more then two worthy players.

So I did my best to spread out the talent and get the best players in the league, no situation of course as you can read above was perfect...
