Week 3 Preview

WEEK 3 PREVIEW

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. -- We will not put anything against any team in the league after the Vikings let the Dolphins score 17 4th quarter points and come away with a win over the NFC favorites.

But the Lions are still at the bottom of the NFL. They are improving but it will take time until they will get the nod over any team, especially the Vikings.

Brett Favre has thrown over 500 passes in his career and is 5-1 on the year (TD-INT). He has a 92 passer rating but is only completing 44% of his passes.

- SHAWNE MERRIMAN - LB - SD - Season (Complete ACL Tear)
- SHAUN ROGERS - DT - CLE - 6 Weeks (Partial MCL Tear)
- BRANDON MARSHALL - WR - MIA - 3 Weeks (Torn Shoulder Labrum)

AROUND THE LEAGUE:
- New Orleans got it's first win of the season, defeating the Falcons.
- Shawne Merriman will NOT be traded. He is out for the year and it'll be better for the Chargers to wait and let his contract run out at the end of the season than to release him, which would be appealed and go through courts anyway.
- Orlando Pace has signed a 1-year deal with the Browns, coming out of 'retirement'. This will more than likely be it for him.
- Miami has released QB Pat White. He had been asking for release or trade and has gotten his wish. He wants to start (like everyone else).
- Oakland has signed Antonio Pierce to a 1-year deal as well, making the signings of 'retirees' go to two this week. Odd.

AROUND THE LEAGUE:
- BREAKING NEWS: San Diego has signed Marcus McNeil to a 6-year, 61 million dollar extension with 24.75 million guaranteed.

- We will air a 'draft preview' in a few weeks, showing the top prospects in the country and who has the biggest needs for what position. Don't miss it!

Week 5 Preview

WEEK 5 PREVIEW

NEW YORK CITY, NY. -- Minnesota travels to New York following their bye week and carry a 2-1 record against a 2-2 Jets team.

Without Darelle Revis, the Jets have become one of the top 5 worst pass defenses and the third worst defense overall, four games into the 2010 season.

Brett Favre is having a solid year so far, throwing six touchdowns to just one interception. He is only completing 50% of his throws, however. But with Adrian Peterson and a great defense, he isn't needed to be 'the franchise', although many perceive it to be that way.

The Vikings hope to topple the Jets, who are without their best defensive weapon and ROLB Calvin Pace, who is out for the season with a broken tailbone. Bad news for New York.
