HEELS WIN 4TH IN ROW OVER EAGLES

CHAPLE HILL, NC: Carolina wins its 4th in a row over Boston College today in a defensive battle. The Heels took the opening kickoff down for the only touchdown of the game, with Sr QB David Britton hitting his wide out Brian Crowley for the score. However, the extra point by Sargent sailed wide right. Carolina managed a field goal as time expired in the half to go up 9 -0.

BC was plaged by 4 turnovers killing several drives, however the heels could not do anything to increase the lead. The stiff Carolina defense held BC to 2 FG's in the 2nd half, and could only get a FG as well.

CAROLINA NIPS YELLOW JACKETS

CHAPLE HILL, NC: Carolina started strong and scored late to edge Georgia Tech tonite in Chaple Hill. It wasn't as easy as this one started, with Carolina scoring the first 17 pts after 3 turnovers by GT. Carolina then had to withstand an onslaught of scoring by GT getting a 79 yd TD run as time ran out in the half to put GT ahead 21-17.

Carolina needed another late turnover by the Jackets to nip out the win to push their record to 5-4. Despite being outgained (575-362), the defense made stops when it counted, and forcing 4 GT fumbles.

HOKIES DEFENSE SHUTS DOWN HEELS

What looked like a defensive struggle turned into a one sided offensive showing as VA Tech dominated the Heels 40-10. VA Tech scored the games first TD of the game as time was running out in the first qtr. Neither team could find the end zone the rest of the way in the first half, as both teams could only settle for FG's.

The 2nd half was all Hokies, as they scored 21 unanswered points in the 3rd quarter on the legs of RB J. Doughertly, scoring on a 68 yd run. The Hokies added two more FG's late in the 4th. Carolina got its only TD as time expired in the game to make the final 40-10

Ouch tough loss against the Hokies, hopefully you can get 1 more win so you'll be bowl eligible.

NOTE:Somehow I did not save the stats from my last game, and the bowl game. I think I was looking at the upcoming recurits, and final standing.

CAROLINA GETS WIN - KEEPS BOWL HOPES ALIVE

CHAPLE HILL, NC: Carolina got there 6th win of the season tonite as the Heels rolled over Middle Tenn St 41 -7. After the win, Carolina was offered a chance to play in the Champs Sports bowl against Bowling Green Univ. The Tarheels will have to play without Sr QB David Britton, who broke his hand in the seasons final.

Re: Building of a Dynasty --North Carolina Tarheels

CAROLINA COMES UP SHORT IN BOWL LOSS

Carolina just could not find enough offense as they fall to Bowling Green 16-10 in the Champs Sports Bowl. The defense played well enough to win, but with out Sr QB David Brittion, it was just too much for the young tarheels to overcome. SS Max Jackson, was named the games MVP in an losing effort with 10 tks, 2 int, one which was returned for a TD.

Bowling Green did what it had to do, and turn turnovers into pts as they had a short field most of the day.

NOTE: Again, sorry about the stats. I am looking forward to starting the upcoming season, and will be much more indepth with the write-ups and recaps of the game, along with top 25 standing.
