Re: Temple Owls - Battle back to the Big East (NCAA 11)

Central Michigan Chippewas vs. Temple Owls

Game Notes

- Chester Stewart struggled with his passing for the 2nd week straight, this week it had more of an impact though as he threw 4 interceptions during the game. If Stewart can't get it together we may see Connor Reilly taking more snaps.

-Temple's secondary has problems all game long. CMU was able to break lots of big plays by breaking through the secondary both on the ground and through the air.

- Temple was able to move the ball down the field on most drives, turnovers really hurt them though as Stewart through 4 interceptions. Temple was only able to get the ball in the red zone twice, one of which resulted in an interception.

-Bernard Pierce had a strong game on the ground going for 147 Yds, it wasnt enough to stop the pounding the Owls received though.

Photo Highlights

J. Sawicki beats the Temple secondary for a 89 Yd TD reception.

Chester Stewart is wrapped up in the backfield by Central Michigan for a sack.

K. Poblah celebrates after breaking free for a 41 Yd TD pass

Chester Stewart found an opening after looking to pass from the 5 yard line and took it into the end zone himself.

P. Cotton breaks through the middle for a 71 Yd TD run.

J. Nixon makes a catch with open field in front of him and takes it in for a TD.

Re: Temple Owls - Battle back to the Big East (NCAA 11)

Connecticut Huskies vs. Temple Owls

Game Notes

- This game was played in a downpour in Philly. The weather contributed to a lot of fumbles and made it and interesting game to watch.

- Chester Stewart's stats may not look much better on paper this week, but he had a decent game. His receivers had about 7 dropped passes that should have been caught.

- UConn managed to return 3 fumbles for touchdowns which helped them power their way to victory. Temple also returned 1 fumble for a touchdown in this game of fumbles.

- Junior UConn free safety Harris Agbor was injured early in the game and is expected to miss the next 6 weeks with a torn pectoral.

- Once again Bernard Peirce had a strong game on the ground and picked up 162 Yds. If Temple is going to turn things around this season it is going to start with this kid.

- James Nixon struggled to hold on to the ball this week and had 4 dropped passes. He has been Stewarts go to man the first two games of the season. Hopefully it was just the weather.

Photo Highlights

J. Todman starts the game off with a long TD run after breaking through the D-Line.

J. Jones takes it into the endzon after a long pass.

Jaiquawn Jarrett lays down a huge hit causing the ball to pop loose.

I. Moore holds onto the ball while being hit in mid air.

UConn's T. Martin picks up a fumble and takes it back for a touchdown.

K. Kroboth gets his first pick of the year after the ball bounces off the receivers hands in the rain.
