RS FR KEON REED WILL MAKE HIS 1ST CAREER START
With RS SR Justin Roland struggling 59/131 849 yds 5 TD 7 INT!!!, RS FR K. Reed will get his 1st start in Week 5 against Stanford.
Reed is 11/23 for 139 yds 2 TD and 2 INT so far in backup duty.
J. Roland will be the #2 and play if needed.
WSU WILL GO WITH RB COMBO
Coach Dodge liked what he saw with I. Jefferson taking 2/3 of the carries well R. Mayfield took the other 1/3. (17 to 11 ratio last game) Both players are currently Avg over 4.0 yds per carry.
I. Jefferson 42 carries 187 yds (4.4 Avg) 1 TD
R. Mayfield 35 carries 146 yds (4.1 Avg) 3 TD
MCCOY FOR THE RECORD BOOKS?
SR Tim McCoy made some noise as a Freshman catching 33 balls for 532 yds and 3 TD's, he stumbled as a Soph catching just 16 balls for 245 yds and 2 TD's, then had 31 catches for 572 yds and 3 TD's as a Junior. Now a Senior, in just his first 3 games, McCoy had 30 Rec for 464 yds and 4 TD's.
If he stays on pace he will break I. Barton season reception record of 128.
WHERE ARE THE SACKS??
So far the Cougar Defense has recorded just 4 sacks in the first 3 games and none of them are by Lombardi Winner and NCAA Sack Leader M. Owens (16.5 last season). WSU however has recored 6 INT's including a NCAA leading 3 by CB D. Miller. They have also forced 5 Fumbles.
