WEEK 5 RECAP

MICHIGAN WINS TOP-25 BATTLE OVER PENN STATE

FINAL SCORE MICHIGAN-31 PENN STATE-13

It was #4 vs #9 in a Top-25/Big Ten Showdown. The winner would have a chance for a National Title, the loser would be lucky to sniff even a Big Ten Championship.

Michigan would dominate as PSU's Dave McLaughlin would struggle to get his team into the endzone finishing just 11/24 for 165 yds. A key reason. His brother Jack who would finish with just 1 catch for 17 yds.

Michigan's SO WR A. Wheeler finished with 7 rec for 76 yds well SO Corey Haas had 2 catches for 11 yds.

WE HAVE A NEW #1

#1 Ohio State faced off against against #13 Nebraska in another Top-25/Big Ten Showdown, the the Buckeyes like Penn State struggle to score. Nebraska lead 24-3 at the end of the half, and 21-3 at the 2nd of the 3rd Quarter, but QB Jordan Ross would lead 2 scoring drives in the 4th Quarter but it was to late to litte.

FINAL SCORE NEBRASKA-31 OSU-17

QB. A. Ross 28/38 302 yds 2 TD and 2 INT
RB N. Brown had just 22 carries for 67 yds and not TD's.

Kirk Herbstreit's comments

"Once again TJ Deuce and AJ Hart haven shown they are 2 dominating forces at the TE/WR posistion. Their size and speed makes it hard for opposing Defense's to stop them.

RB S. Mengal has really come into his own this year getting the bulk of the carries in Oklahoma showing me he has what it takes to be a A.P. type back. The back that has that potential next year is Jake West at OSU. I think that Deion White and "Speedy just need more carries before we see what they can do.

WR's A. Wheeler,C. Haas,Jack McLauhglin and J. Green have all shown big play ability but it's been Wheeler who has really stood out this year showing why he was the former #1 Overall recruit.

At QB. Jordan Ross has struggled at times making me wonder why OSU doesn't give Adam West a chance. K. Charles, T. Drake and B. Leaf are buired on their teams depth charts. and Dave McLaughlin has struggled to put up huge #'s after showing signs of being a pretty good player.

RT Ian McLaughlin is a force at RT. He is by far one of the best O-Lineman in the nation.

On the Defense side of the ball. MLB L. Kyle and CB M. James are making plays for their teams but not putting up huge #'s well SS J. Matthews is stuggling to get on the field.

I just read all of this. This is great, you made me want to do a coaching dynasty. Good job at turning WSU around. Can't wait for more updates.

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. I am having fun with WSU I live in Spokane and use to be a season ticket holder for both Football and Basketball. However my love is still Boise State (where I grew up and spent the first 27 years of my life). It's been great building the Cougars back the the Power house they use to be. I am not quite there yet (went from a 1* to 5*) but still only a C- Overall, but I have 2 years left on my contract, so there is still time.

If you would like to create a "Herbie" a made a thread so that people can start posting their players for next year.
