EVEN AT 0-12 HOPE REMAINS IN TORONTO

After losing to Minnesota last week and dropping to 0-12 you may think the Toronto Hawks and their fans would be quite upset. You'd be quite wrong. Though the fans, players and coaching staff had hoped to be off the schneide by now there is still a sense of hope surrounding the franchise. This week could be the week. The 4-8 Browns come to town and many experts are picking the Hawks to get the win. The line in Vegas is even, the first time that has happened for the Hawks this season. Despite a lack of talent and the loss of two of their more popular players the stands have continued to fill on Sunday afternoon. The optimism and a very high draft pick has the city abuzz. If the Hawks draft well they could easily improve the team quickly. Many expect the Hawks to draft QB Josh Gallon, the Heisman frontrunner, with their first pick.

1-12 = WINNING SEASON IN TORONTO

1-12 may not seem like a good record at all but in Toronto it is. The Hawks squeeked past the Browns Sunday, winning their first game by a score of 26-22. Led by Willie Parker's 91 yards and a TD on the ground as well as a TD reception the team's defense did just enough to get the win. They sacked Seneca Wallace 6 times, led by Leonard Little with 2. Neither QB threw an interception though Edwards did cough it up on a QB sweep.

The win came at home in front of a sellout crowd which is sure to ignite the fans for the remainder of this season and next season as well.
