Re: A NEW NFL --- REPLACEMENT TEAMS

ALERT: BULLDOGS MAKE TRADE WITH HORNETS
The Virginia Bulldogs have wasted little time trying to improve their team. They have traded their First Round pick in the 2011 NFL draft for WR Terrance Davenport(Rookie-Virginia Tech) and the Hornets Second and Fourth round picks. Davenport has blinding speed, and sources say that Bulldogs owner Chris Medding, an avid VT fan, coveted the WR. The Hornets were thrilled to now have two of the top 32 picks, according to GM Kevin Bruno. "We feel we have the talent to win now. Terrance is a great player, no question, but we feel comfortable with the talent we have at WR (Davenport who ranks "91" was #3 on Milwaukee's depthchart) and will use these 2 first rounders to improve in other areas come next years draft."

Re: A NEW NFL --- REPLACEMENT TEAMS

HEAD COACH JOE THOMPSON POST GAME
* On Captain TE Trevor Francis Injury
Trevor looks to have a broken collarbone and will miss significant time. We certainly value what he does for us on the field, but his health obviously comes first. At this point, I don't want to speculate when he'll return, but it won't be for awhile.

* On Playcalling
Well it felt good, mainly because the plays worked and we executed them.

*On worried if other teams will learn tendencies/shut down offense
Well you always have to tweak your plan. Now if your dominance is running, it wouldn't make sense to come out and throw 50 times, but I think we will be able to make in-game adjustments... If you look we did from the 3rd and 4th quarters. We'll keep things fresh out there!

*Anthony Conway's performance
Thats why we selected him! We aren't going to get over-hyped on one performance, but I believe he has the potential to play this well each and every week. Knock on wood here we don't see growing pains, but if we do we have to be patient and work through them with him. Anthony's only 22 so we can't expect him to be perfect. But tonight was a great start and hopefuly a sign of great things to come. All I'm saying is lets keep realistic expectations and be reasonable if he has a less than stellar game. Anthony is our Quarterback!

*Conway Contract extension
Thats a priority, but obviously a bigger priority is getting ready for the regular season. We have Anthony all year, and will get this thing done I'm sure! Right now its just a matter of two sides sitting down and crunching out the right numbers. I have every confidence this will get done.

*McCown/Stanley(3r HB) Wood (4th HB) not playing?
Well, this was our first chance to get a look at our guys in an actual game situation. We've scrimmaged sure,in camp and in practice, but you don't get the same look against your own guys as you do an opposing team. We have a lot of guys we want to take a look at and will give looks to, but I wanted to get a hard look at certain players this week. We may rotate some more these next 3 games, but we gotta take a good look at our top guys too in order see their performance over a 3-4 game stretch.

*Scoring with 17 seconds left/Running up the score?
I wouldn't ever run up the score intentionaly. Thats a sign or poor sportsmanship. But when Buffalo called a timeout I wasn't going to take knees to punt the ball back and have them stop the clock. I felt a few runs would give us a good look at Ray and he performed well tonight, no doubt

*Ray Jackson Vs Jeremy Craig for #1
Nothing is in stone yet. Both are gonna get looks with the first team offense the next couple of weeks and we'll see if one seperates himself as the clear leader We have a lot of comeptitions going on for #1 spots, I think it brings out the best in a player.

WE HAVE TIME FOR A FEW MORE QUESTIONS
