Re: The Coaching Legacy of Gus Malzahn: Vandy's Rise to Greatness
Congrats on the Bowl win. Looks like Larry Smith was the man.
Well you said at earlier that you thought you would get 8-9 wins and you got them. Now it will be interesting to see what type of recruiting class you can land.

Wow...What a way to end the season, even if it was against the team I pull for...Surprised to see you pull out a better than .500 record in the SEC too.

HELL YEA, congrats on the big bowl win. I bet that was a fun game. I wished I had more games that went into over time
and yes, I know what you mean. I feel like the players kinda take on your personality, even though its just a video game, it has that authentic feel, just like in real life. It makes it more enjoyable.

Well, you gotta remember, my ratings were: B overall, A- offense, and B- defense. It's not like I was playing with a normal Vandy team where I was a C or C- in a couple o f things and B- in the other. There was plenty of talent on the team for me to win at least 4 SEC games. Especially since I had Kentucky and Ole Miss on the schedule.
The only games I ever felt truly overmatched in were Virginia Tech, Arkansas (couldn't stop their offense to save my life), and Florida. I did against Alabama for a while, but I kept on getting one or two semi-miraculous plays per drive to stay alive. I settled in and wore their defense down in the second half with the HUNH. Same thing against Penn State. My QB started off something like 3/15 or 3/16 for 45 yards and 1 INT. But like Auburn this year in real life, my HUNH wore their defense down a little and I started moving the ball easier.

I just went back and read through my bowl write up, and man is it sloppy. It doesn't really flow that well, IMO. But I was playing the game a like 3:00 AM and just typing that stuff out as it happened. I should have taken some time to go through and edit it. The whole flow of the article is just awful.
But I'm an English major, wrote for the school paper, and a pretty big perfectionist when it comes to stuff like that.
