The 49ers are now 2-0 thanks to four lost fumbles by New Orleans, caused by a rowdy San Francisco defense.

Although they won, head coach Mike Singletary wasn't too happy. "We get in their end of the field and had to settle for five field goals. Not to mention a sixth that we missed. It's an unacceptable performance by the offense, to be honest. I'm glad we won, yes. I'm not happy with how the offense played. OR defensively, letting them get back into it late for that matter."

If you discount the fact that the 49ers had barely over 30 rushing yards to the Chiefs 120, it was an even game.

But don't tell coach Singletary that.

"We stunk. I said it before, I'll say it again - I want winners! I don't coach linebackers to miss tackles. I don't coach lineman to get stupid penalties. I don't coach that. I coach winners. So if the defense continues to play like garbage then that's where some of them will end up."

It was a last gasp field goal that ended the game.

San Francisco drove down the field and kicked what was seemingly the game winner with around a minute remaining. Then the defense let Kansas City do the same.

The 49ers go on the road again to take on the Falcons (1-2) in a loud, rowdy Georgia Dome.

2010 Week 3 NFL Recap

2010 Week 3 NFL Recap

Notes:
Offensive:

Terrell Owens
WR - Cincinnati

10 catches, 232 yards, 5 TD

Defensive:
Ryan Pickett
LE - Green Bay

7 tackles, 3 sacks, forced fumble

Game of the week:
49ers 26 @ Chiefs 28

Notes:
- Terrell Owens is old, selfish and washed up right? Well, he tied the NFL record for receiving TDs in a game Sunday with 5. He had over 200 yards and 10 catches to boot.
- Ben Roethlisberger is having a great start to his season - 112.7 rating, 902 yards, 9 TDs, INT, 67% completed.
- Michael Vick is off to his best season yet - 93.9 rating, 773 yards, 6 TD, 2 INT, 59 % completed, 22 rushes, 147 yards, TD, 6.6 avg.

2010 Week 4 Preview - @ Atlanta

2010 Week 4 Preview
@ Atlanta

(2-1) @ (1-2)

Notes:
- Our best player (Patrick Willis) is out.

Injuries:
SF: ROLB Ahmad Brooks, C Eric Heitmann, RG Adam Snyder, LOLB Manny Lawson, MLB Patrick Willis
ATL: LE Jamaal Anderson

Game-plan:
- OFF: Hasselbeck can get the defense off guard with play action, so run and set up the big pass plays.
- DEF: With Willis out, along with our other 2 outside linebackers, it won't be pretty, but we have a good enough D-Line to pressure Ryan and stuff Turner.
