September 10th - Jonesboro, AR

The Red Wolves are now 2-0 after defeating Memphis in Jonesboro, for the Red Wolves home opener of 2011. After the first few minutes of the game, the Red Wolves looked as if they were going to let Memphis walk all over them, but after two great special teams plays the Red Wolves got back in the game. After the first quarter the Red Wolves took a 14 point lead and never let the Tigers get back within more than 7. Kelcie McCray, who returned a kickoff for a touchdown left the game with an injury. McCray is expected to miss 3 weeks, but the Red Wolves will be grateful for his return after giving up 388 through the air. The Red Wolves will travel to #12 Virginia Tech to take on the Hokies next week.

McCray returns a kickoff for a touchdown bringing the Red Wolves within 7.
