Re: "Dragon Breath" A UAB Dynasty (NCAA12)

nice dynasty you have there... Ive been doing mine for 4 seasons now, i think i have a pretty decent set up, I like to try and limit how many pages i have, so i dont get lost finding something, thats why i have those yearly links and everything is on that one year page, and then i just re edit it every week, usually the game recaps are the only thing i put on new pages,

but i think ill add more stuff, I just dont wanna add to much stuff and alot of people dont even see it. but ya i like your set up, how did u get the box score style to come up that way, did u look up different kinda box scores ?

For my recaps, for the box score, I found it on recap with Houston University and copied and pasted it, I think im gonna use that one from here on out!!!

FLAWLESS SECOND HALF LEADS
BLAZER ROUTE OVER BUCKEYES 40-14

_____________________
ASSOCIATED PRESS______

COLUMBUS, OH -
Vince Jones returned a interception 24 yards for a third-quarter touchdown and Adam Dyks passed for three scores Saturday afternoon as UAB beat Ohio State 40-14 in the school's first ever trip to the Horseshoe. The Buckeyes (0-2) jumped out to a 14-7 lead in the first quarter after corner Tony Morales took a Adam Dyks pass 52 yards for the interception return.
"It got so loud after that."
Dyks said. "I had to repeat plays constantly in the huddle, in turn lost focus for a bit." Dyks threw three first quarter interceptions. "Yes I contemplated benching him." Stated head coach Travis Rhatigan. "We told Lewis to start warming up, but Dyks ask for one last chance."
UAB, which has now started 2-0 in all four seasons under Rhatigan, had a 390-203 advantage in total yards.

The Blazers opened the third quarter amped up on defense as Tom Cox crushed Sanders for the sack, the next play saw Jones picking Sanders and returning for the score as the Blazers extended their lead 24-14 early in the half.
Sanders, who did a great job in the passing department going 10 for 16 on the day for 169 yards made another mistake over throwing his receiver Warren, and free safety Carl Holycross intercepted the pass giving UAB the ball back and Sanders his second straight interception.

--
(JONES RETURNED HIS FIRST CAREER INTERCEPTION WHILE HOLYCROSS GRABBED HIS SECOND OF THE SEASON)

Dyks wasted no time, far from the three interception first quarter, Dyks was back into the zoned in mode we saw from him last week at Troy, he threw a beautiful bombed just over the out reached hands of two Buckeye's falling perfectly into the hands of Vince Jackson for a 56 yard touchdown pass. Jackson wasted no time to let the crowd know he couldn't hear them after scoring his second touchdown of the game. The Blazers would get the ball back driving down the field with ease connecting on two third downs before tailback Cody Gore rumbled in from three yards out giving the Blazers a 38-14 lead in the third quarter.

--
(THE RS-FR V. JACKSON HAULED IN HIS SECOND TOUCHDOWN OF THE AFTERNOON, THEN IMMEDIATELY LET BUCKEYE NATION KNOW HOW HE FELT)

"Coach just came into the locker room at halftime and asked us if we were done admiring the beautiful stadium."
defensive end Tom Cox said. "He was like are we ready to play football or do we still want to site see."
If everyone else wanted to site see they didnt let Tom Cox or linebacker Timi McCollum know. Those two single handily stuffed Tim Clark and the Buckeye run game. After a scoring from 16 yards out in the first quarter Clark could only muster a average of 1.4 yards the rest of the way.
"That was key for us.
If they were gonna beat us, it would be Sanders throwing and not Clark running." Said middle linebacker Timi McCollum.
--
(COX AND MCCOLLUM LED THE WAY IN STOPPING BUCKEYE BACK TIM CLARK, A WEEK AFTER RUSHING FOR 200 YARDS HE ONLY HAD 17 ON 12 CARRIES)

McCollum and Cox both registered three sacks a piece. McCollum also led all Blazers with seven tackles. The Icing on the cake came in the fourth quarter with Ohio State backed up on the three yard line, thats when McCollum screamed up the middle sacking Sanders and giving UAB their second straight week with a safety.
For the second consecutive week the Blazers did not give up a single point in the second half. They held the Ohio State to just 1 of 7 on third downs forcing three turnovers. The Buckeye's also were plagued by penalties receiving 9 for 84 yards.

"You cant win when you turn the ball over and you put yourself in holes with penalties."
Luke Fickell stated after the game. "Against a team as athletic as UAB you have to make a drive count and we did not, we get three interception and only get seven points off of them."
Tailback Matthew Scott left for the locker room before the first half ended, apparently shaken up, but returned to the sidelines fully padded in the second half.

WEEK 3 TOP GAMES:

#12 Notre Dame (2-0) at Central Florida (2-0)
Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly knows he has a resilient team with a flair for the dramatic. He also understands it has a long way to go to be considered great.
Coming off a second straight thrilling victory, Kelly's 12th-ranked Fighting Irish look to shore up some glaring defensive shortcomings Saturday when they visit a Central Florida team that is also not fully satisfied with its first two blowout wins.
This early season Big East match-up is critical for the Irish. A strong running game gives them the edge, but they have to try and stop precise quarterback Tom Anderson and company.

#6 Georgia (1-0) at South Carolina (1-0)
As most SEC football teams do both Georgia and South Carolina relied on tough defensive play last week. Georgia winning 17-0 Clemson and South Carolina 16-10 over East Carolina. Offensively the Gamecocks will rely on running back John Waters, if he can break through this Georgia front seven led by Linebacker Derek Houston then they'll have a chance for the upset. expect a tight physical game.

#11 Auburn (1-0) at #10 Mississippi State (2-0)
The loss of Alabama leaves the door wide open for the SEC west title. With LSU Auburn and Miss St all trying to get through. Mississippi State seems to be turning the corner as they try to become one of the elites. Quarterback Buck Browning a Junior from Westlake Louisiana has Bulldog nation believing with his dual threat style of play. For Auburn, its been the same give running back Eddie White the football on offense and let the defense take care of the rest. Defensive end Greg Cooper had three sacks in Auburns first win, believe he'll be ready to take on Buck Browning.

Notable Game:
Nevada (1-0) at UCLA (2-0)
#20 Michigan State (1-0) at West Virginia (1-0)
Iowa State (0-1) at #3 Iowa (1-0)
Wake Forest (1-0) at #14 Miami (2-0)

BLAZER WEEKLY

ANOTHER YEAR, ANOTHER INJURY:
ALL TIME LEADING RUSHER OUT FOR AT LEAST 9 WEEKS.

BIRMINGHAM, AL -
For the third consecutive year tailback Matthew Scott will miss extended time. On his second carry last week vs Ohio State he injured back causing him to miss the rest of the game. Further test showed he strained his back.
"It's tough seeing this kind of thing happen to any player." Head Coach Travis Rhatigan stated. " It's especially tough to see it happen to this young man who in my opinion is one of the best backs in the country."
Scott, from Fairhope, Alabama played as a true freshmen for the Blazers. That season he rushed for 571 yards and 10 touchdowns in a backup role. His best season was his sophomore year when he rushed for 1,642 yards and 18 touchdowns. Both school records. On the pre season Heisman watch list as a Senior this year, Scott now has to watch the majority of his senior season from the sideline. Thats tough for the school's all time leading rusher.
Rhatigan said fellow Senior Cody Gore will take over as the starting tailback while RS-Freshmen Luke Sullivan will become the back up. he's also contemplating whether or not to striped freshmen Lawrence Long or Ellis Fox of their RS status.
CAREER STATS MATTHEW SCOTT:
FR - 571 YARDS 10 TOUCHDOWNS
SO - 1,643 YARDS 18 TOUCHDOWNS
JR - 1,384 YARDS 15 TOUCHDOWNS
SR - 167 YARDS 0 TOUCHDOWNS

TOUGH CROWD, BIG WIN:
RHATIGAN SPEAKS TO THE MEDIA ABOUT THE WIN AT OHIO STATE AS WELL AS THE UP COMING BYE WEEK

First off I would like to congratulate our men for keeping their composure in such a tough environment. It was a business trip and thats how they took it. It was a slow start for us and Scott's injury hurt but guys found a way.
Let me start by saying Ohio State is a helluva team. Their 0-2 mark doesn't reflect the superb talent they have. I think we did a good job in corralling their run game and stopping one of the nations best backs in Tim Clark. I was exceptionally pleased with the play of Dyks, he came out and threw two quick pics and I almost sat him, but he came to me and told me he wanted another crack at it and finished with a great game. Running back Cody Gore did a unbelievable job and helped us move the chains with some big runs and we hope he can build on that.
We'll be on a bye this week, we'll get Gore more attempts with the ones as well as Sullivan. We are a long ways from being we're we want to be but I'll take 2-0 any day.
