#5 Miami @ #13 USC

Uninspried Effort
Miami Is still rattled following the loss to USC

McNeal came off the bench and sparked this Trojans offense

L.A, Cal -
Two solid weeks of great match-up play and things continue to get better. We bring you a Top 25 heavyweight match-up between #5 Miami hurricanes and #13 USC Trojans.

-------

The game did not start out the way the hurricanes wanted it to. The offense played poorly giving up back to back sacks/fumbles on their drives, not being able to run the ball and also the passing wasn't there early on in the game. Defense did not play all that well either giving up 23 point alone in the first half of the game is just a disgusting thought. [0-23]
USC play well on both sides of the ball. Shutting down the hurricanes offense and just plain running over their offense. The impact player was Freshmen Daniel Olsen who racked up 3 sacks and 3 forced fumble. Talk about imposing one's will during the game.

Freshmen Daniel Olsen (Left) and Sophomore George Uko (right) Lived in the backfield of the hurricanes.

Miami was finally able to answer the call. The offensive line was finally able to open up some holes so that the running game could take off. It did just that to once Lamar miller hit the hole it was usually a 10 Yd+ gain. Miller was the only bright spot on the offense scoring on two rushing touchdowns which cut the lead down by some.[14-23] But that did not last that long after a screen play to RB McNeal who took it 68 Yds to the house.[14-30]

Miami knew they could make a comeback but they had to do so quickly. After four minutes of going back and forth with the Trojans. The hurricanes were finally able to cross the endzone once again. [21-30] With time still left on the clock the hurricanes could pull off an upset. They made some key plays to end the Trojans drive down the field and now rises the opportunity to win this game. The passing game was their abit but it was the running game the hurricanes relied on the most. They moved the ball down field as quick as possible but it was Stephen Morris that made the key mistake to seal the game. Throwing an interception into the endzone which ended the hurricanes two game win streak.

Game Notes
After a disappointing loss to the Trojans last week. Miami looks to bounce back when the wolf-pack comes into town. NC state already lost one conference game and could look to drop another one. A new Head Coach in NC could have some surprise for the hurricanes in this match. Can the hurricanes forget about their loss at USC or will NC State be able to capitalize on this great opportunity.
