Game Notes
After coming off a bye week. Miami looks to re-bound from their two game losing streak. It won't be easy,as they face #2 Virginia Tech Hokies. Last year we seen the hokies beat the hurricanes at lane stadium and now the hurricanes looks to get revenge on them. Can miami finally bounce back? or will Virginia Tech continue their 4 game conference game win streak

Can't Stomach It
Hurricanes are upended in conference play 22-21

Freshman on the rise! Tony Adams had a big night in Miami.

Miami Gardens, FL -
Half way through the 2012 season and we seen many ups and downs along the way. We bring you a classic rivalry between the Virginia Tech Hokies and The Hurricanes of Miami.

What a nail-bitter of a game we saw here in Miami! Both teams looked polished and were ready for battle with one another. Last year Virginia Tech took home the win against the canes. Lets hope things change for the better for the hurricanes with this game. They dropped back to back games and is trying not to make it a third one. The game started out with alot of hard hits and quarterback pressure. It wasn't until halfway through the first quarter that a score was finally posted. Miami was able to pin VT at their one yard line and after that was history, as the hurricanes brought the heat on the hokies for the safety. [0-2] Virginia Tech was quick to answer back the challenge and scored a touchdown of their own thanks to Freshman running back Tyler Adams who scored one of the two touchdowns of the night. Adams had an amazing night for a freshman carrying the load 19 times for 130 Yds and 2 touchdowns. Does beamer know how to recruit running back or what! [7-2]

The second quarter looked just liked the first. Neither teams moved the ball well enough to score. This game was living up to all of its hype as predicted by the fans. The hurricanes were finally able to put together some kind of drive and by luck was able to move the ball down the field. It was thanks to Morris who gave the team a great position to score after a clutch first down run.

S. Morris could be losing his job!

Now with a new set of downs to work with and inside the hokies redzone. Miami had all the time they needed to put up points and take the lead. The hurricanes waste little time scoring, as temple ran his route to perfection and caught the ball for his third touchdown on the year.[7-9] The third quarter started off with alittle more bang then the other two. Morris has been making alot of critical mistakes over the last past three games. He threw four int on the night and one that got returned for a TD to give the hokies the lead once again. [13-9]

That would be the only mistake Morris made. After getting the ball back after that critical interception. The hurricanes tried once again to go deep with the ball. It kinda turned some head with the decision on why go back to throwing the ball when the ground gaming is working for you? The ball had gotten intercepted once again but this time it ended in a safety for the hurricanes?! [13-11]Surprising, yes. Much need, yes. The hurricanes kept it close all night until they finally was able to break through on the running game thanks to Lamar miller who is just having a down right good season. [13-18]

All the hurricanes had to do was make a couple of stops on defense and just hold onto the ball on offense. Could they do that? It didn't look like they could after Freshman Tony Adams carved them up for yet another rushing touchdown to take the lead. This freshman can down right play and should make his name known in the ACC history books. [19-18] The clock was winding down for the hurricanes. They took their time moving the ball down the field slowly but effectively. Their drive came to a stall but they still came away with some kind of point which took the lead for them. [19-21]Now with just a minute left in the game all the hurricanes had to do was make a stop on this drive. The hokies did not allow that to happen, as they were able to carve up this questionable defense to move the ball down the field. Jr Kicker Cody Journell made a clutch field goal to give them a one point lead. [22-21]It was make it or break it time for the hurricanes as they needed to go down the field for a touchdown or a field goal to win this game. Morris dropped back into the pocket and launched a ball into the air only to have it batted down and then intercepted which sealed yet another lose for the hurricanes.
Player of the game
#30 Tony Adams HB (FR)
19 Car, 130 Yds, 2 TD

#6 Lamar Miller HB (JR)
30 Car, 188 Yds, TD

Next Week: Miami @ #13 Boise State

My Hokies win again, man you guys are really struggling. The interceptions are really killing you guys it seems like. Hopefully you can bounce back against Boise this week. It's the perfect time and team to re-bound against.
