The smuf turf couldn't handle the U. Nice win on the road, the quarterback change was much needed.

Ryan Williams is the Savior!

#21 Miami keeps it close
Miami walks away from the shootout in Clemson!

Clemson, SC - We witness a great battle between two high powered offenses but it was Miami's defense that sealed away the game for them. Both teams gave it their all but only one walked away from death valley alive!

The game opened up like usual with the hurricanes taking the field on offense first. Coach golden made it clear that last week Ryan Williams would be the quarterback for the rest of the season. The game started off abit rocky for the hurricanes, as Junior(RS) quarterback Ryan Williams who was still trying to get the timing down between him and his receivers.

"I'm still trying to get things down pack in this offense. One moment your on the bench waiting for your turn to show what you have. Then the next your on the field with the ball in your hand." - Said Williams after throwing two interceptions.

Rashard Hall makes a big play on the ball

When one thing goes bad for one team it always ends up being something good for the other. That exactly what happened after the interception by the tigers defense. Tahj Boyd lead his offense onto the field and boy did they no waste any time. Each down went for a first down and the hurricanes defense was left scratching their heads on how to stop Clemson. They finally figured it out just by letting them score the first games touchdown. [0-7]

Wide Receiver Jaron Brown making things look easy.

Seeing your opponent just dismantle your defense like that is disappointing but the hurricanes knew that with the defense slipping. The offense had to pick up their slack if they wanted to win this game. With the running and passing game going smoothly for the hurricanes they capitalized on the opportunity to score. Williams targeted his favorite player on the field every chance that he got. Freshmen tight end trevor hill had another big game tonight finishing up with 14 rec, 161 Yds and 5 TD on the night. [7-7] The fans knew this was gonna be a great game to watch this year!

Freshman Tight End Trevor Hill leaves his mark in death valley.

Just like the first quarter ended the second quarter began with a bang! Clemson's offense controlled the clock for three minutes straight before Quarter Tahj Boyd ended the drive by taking the pigskin in for himself. [7-14] Miami wouldn't be far behind from Clemson, as they pounded the ball on the ground for two minutes straight before getting anywhere near the endzone. Everyone knew who was getting the ball but they just could stop Hill from scoring once again for the canes! [14-14] The hurricanes ended the first half of the game with an easy field goal to take the lead. [17-14]

"Ryan and me have built a quick chemistry between the two of us. I'm seeing the ball alot more when we get into the redzone. I had planned to make a big impact my freshmen year here and everything is working out perfectly." - Said Hill during halftime.

The hurricanes opened up the third quarter with an easy field goal to extended their lead even more. [20-14] Eleven minutes later the tigers would make their mark on the game in a big way, as back-up running-back Roderick McDowell took the ball 80 Yds for the touchdown bring them back into this game. [20-21]

After a couple of unsuccessful drives by both teams. Miami answered back with a touchdown of their own thanks to Tight End Trevor Hill who scores his third touchdown of the night. Breaking the school's touchdown season record with 14 TD on the year! Talk about an amazing young man with a bright future ahead of him. [27-21] Things went from bad to worse for the tigers already down by a touchdown and then Quarterback Tahj Boyd goes down with sprained elbow for two weeks. In comes the back-up quarterback and to many people surprise he able to spark this offense with a touchdown thanks in part to RB Andre Ellington who took the ball 45 Yds on a screen play for the TD. [27-28].The beginning of the fourth quarter was a blessing for the tigers, as they picked off Williams for the second time on the night and returned this one for a touchdown giving them the break away lead. [27-35]

The hurricanes were not gonna let this game slip threw their hands. Williams and his offensive squad put together this long drawn out play which ended with a touchdown to you know who trevor hill scoring on his 4th touchdown of the night but it did not end their for them, as coach golden kept his offense on the field to go for the two point to tie the game in which they were successful at obtaining. [35-35]

That was the last we heard from the hurricanes offense, as they took the field once again after their defense stood their ground. The hurricanes offense just looked like a well oiled machine cranking out big yardage in both the running and passing game. Only 0:29 secs left on the clock and Miami was breathing on the neck of the tigers endzone. Williams took the snap and tried to scramble in only to fake it and throw another touchdown pass to the tight end trevor hill for the 5th time tonight. Which won the game for the hurricanes, as they pick up their second ACC conference win. [42-35]
