North Carolina @ #8 Miami

Miami's Defense comes alive late int he game!

On a Roll!
Miami keeps their winning streak alive with a close game against North Carolina

Miami, Fl. - One week away from the big dance and we see top teams dropping like flies. This week we bring you North Carolina Tar heels and #8 Miami Hurricanes. Both these teams gave it their all here tonight but it would be Miami walking away from this tough battle. [28-34]

Talk about a stout defensive battle! That what both these teams showed early on in the game. All your hear on the field were the hard hits and the coaches yelling. A rough start to the game for the hurricanes as Heisman hopeful Lamar Miller fumbled the ball which gave the tar heels some momentum to build upon. That would happen to be the first time anyone ever seen miller fumble the ball and it even took him by surprise. He still went on to have an amazing night carrying the ball 34 times for 239Yds and 2 TD and also broke the school's season rushing record with 1,897Yds from scrimmage.

After the fumble by the hurricanes. The tar heels were able to capitalize on the momentum and just carve up the hurricanes defense. They were able to do anything, as Miami's defense could not generate any pressure or stop the run. It did not take long before the defense gave up a touchdown. Senior Halfback Hunter Furr scored on a 25Yd run which put up the first points of the game. The hurricanes looked plain bad on offense as nothing was going for them at all. Ryan Williams went 8-23 for 82 Yds and a TD along with a pair of Int. Even the freshmen tight end Mackey finalist Trevor Hill did not even have any impressive game like where use to seeing from him only catching the ball 7 times for 64 Yds and a TD. Miami did get good field position thanks to their special teams but that were everything ended. They could not run or pass on this stiff tar heel defense and had to settle for a quick field goal. [7-3]

The second quarter of the game was silent as neither team put up points but we saw an amazing defensive battle between the two teams out on the field. After the slow start in the first half of the game things picked up abit for the hurricanes. Lamar Miller finally broke free on a 44 Yd rushing touchdown where he went untouched all the way home! [7-10]

Lamar Miller is in the thick of the Heisman race!

The hurricane sideline was jumping for joy now that they took the lead late into the game. That joy did not last long, as the tar heels striked right back at them with a 54Yd touchdown to Junior Wide Receiver Joshua Adams who made an amazing catch between the corner and safety for the score and the lead. [14-10]

Joshua Adams made a key play for the tar heels!

After the score the tar heels brought the pressure on the Qb on nearly every down. That did not stop he hurricanes though they moved the ball down the field very effectively while relying heavily on the running game with a little bit of the passing game put into there. Finally in north Carolina redzone Miami only needed one play for a touchdown, as Williams took the snap and tried to scramble into the endzone only to find freshmen tight end trevor hill wide open across the middle of the field for the score. [14-17] It did not end there for the hurricanes, as the defense started to come alive with a Int by Cornerback Lee Chambers which gave the offense a short field to work with. They managed to capitalize on the opportunity with another rushing touchdown by Lamar Miller. Even the defense in on the scoring frenzy, as Senior Defensive Tackle Marcus Forston was a huge force along the line that could not be contained. He racked up 2.5 Sacks along with 2 fumbles which one of those fumble went for a defensive touchdown giving the hurricanes some much need momentum. [14-31]

Forston is a top notch defensive tackle. One of the best in the nation

What a fierce comeback Miami has pulled on the tar heels. If they wanted to get back into this game then they would need to give it everything they got. That exactly what they did, as the defense picked off Williams once again but this time they took it to the house for the score. [21-31] The offense of the tar heels looked polished,as they did not waste time with the ball in their hands. Halfback hunter furr score yet another touchdown this time on a 75 Yd run. [28-31] With the clock winding down all Miami had to do was run out the clock. They moved the ball down the field with the running game which set them up for the go head field goal to close out the game with. [28-34]

Preview: Boston College @ #8 Miami

No Love Lost

Miami Looks forward to playing their rivals Boston College

Boston College @ #8 Miami

Date: November 24th, 2012
Time: 7:00PM
Where: Miami, Florida

Miami, Fl. - The final week of the year for most teams. This week we bring you the always entertaining rivalry between Boston College Eagles & The hurricanes of Miami. Boston College is coming into this game with a (9-2) record and leads the ACC Atlantic division. New Head Coach Greg Peterson who came from Tulsa last year, as their Offensive Coordinator has made the eagles name know in the ACC in his first year. Coach Peterson has changed the eagles from a plain old running team into a top notch passing team (#18 passing offense). The hurricanes had to give it their all in they wanted to come out ontop and hopefully get into a good bowl game this year.

Things to watch for!

- Can lamar Miller rush for 200 yards in back to back weeks?
- How will Williams bounce back from his poor performance?
- Can the defense get pressure on the QB all night long?

Boston College
- Needs to establish the passing game quickly
- How will their defense stack up against Miami's offense?
- Is neglecting the run for the pass the right idea for Boston?

Re: Miami Hurricanes: Decades of Dominance

Oklahoma has a tough road to stay in the National Championship game. It looks like a good chance of a PAC 12 title game with Oregon vs. USC.

You have a good chance at a nice bowl as well, even after 3 losses. Keep at it... diggin' the dynasty.

Conference Champions

Conference Championship Week!

#25 10-2(8-1) Vs #7 12-0 (9-0)

" A rematch of last year C-USA conference championship. With Heisman winner Case Keenum gone to the NFL. Many people thought the cougars would start to fall off their game. It did not happen this year, as they beat out the competition to get a spot in the title game. The knights stayed on a hot streak all year long going undefeated to ensure they would get back into the conference title game."

9-3 (6-3) Vs #14 10-2(8-1)

" Spread vs the option which team will walk out the winners? Nobody would have thought both of these teams would make it to the championship week. New Head Coach Greg Peterson has done some amazing things with the eagles this year. He and the eagles look to claim their first ACC championship here tonight. Georgia Tech running game has pulled them down the stretch in route to a conference title by beating the hokies which sealed the conference for them. "

#16 9-3(6-3) Vs #10 10-2(7-2)

" Its the first time for both teams to make it to the SEC championship game. Arkansas dominated the SEC (west) in route to having the best record in the SEC. Wilson and the rest of the razorbacks looks to prove to the gamecocks why they are the best in the SEC this year. South Carolina dropped their last two games of the season but was still able to slip into the SEC championship game. It should be a high scoring affair between these two teams."

#17 Vs #2

" Oregon State shook up the polls with its big win over the ducks last week. Now they face USC once again after a disappointing loss to them in week 3. USC looks to hold their ground against the beavers and clinch the number 2 spot in the ranking for a BCS berth. The question now is will the beavers be able to pull off another upset? "

#15 9-3(6-2) Vs #4 10-2 (6-2)

"A top classic match-up between two of the top rushing teams in the NCAA. Brady Hoke and his wolverines walk into this match-up looking for the 43rd conference championship. They have one of the best rushing offense ranked 3rd in the nation. Wisconsin has a two headed monster in the backfield with Ball & White carrying the rock down the field. Ranked #6 in rushing they looked to wear down the Michigan offense by running the ball."

(9-3,7-1) Vs. (9-3,8-0)

"A rematch between Temple and Western Michigan. New head coach Nick Holt has taking the broncos on an 8 game winning streaking which has surprised many people. He looks to cap off his first head coaching job with a conference title under his belt. On the other hand Temple looks to re-bound from the lose to Western Michigan late in the season. Experts had the broncos winning this one."
