Hawaii Football: Alex Price is hired Honolulu, HI

Hawaii Rainbow Warriors hired Alex Price out of Concord, CA. He coached at California power, De La Salle, and hopes to bring the same success to Honolulu after being the Offensive Coordinator to the 12-time state champions. He is only 26 and was a QB for Fresno State. He held a press conference earlier... Here it is.

Reporter: Coach, what are your goals after being hired with expectations by Hawaii?

MP: My goals for Hawaii are quite simple. One is to beat the crap out of Boise State. Excuse the language, but I can't stand them. Other one is to win the WAC and recieve a BCS invite, but that's down the road. We got work to do.

Reporter: How do you plan on recruiting?

MP: Recruiting is important, so I'm gonna take it seriously. I'm gonna recruit California very hard, obviously. North and Southern California are extremely important, and I will also scour Hawaii to look for talent. I plan on hitting Arizona, and Texas down the road.

Reporter: Predictions for this season?

MP: Predictions are crap, once again, excuse the language. But I want my boys to play without hesitation. Now, excuse me, I got work to prepare for the season.

Coach Price's take on

Bryant Monis:
Bryant is an intelligent QB with incredible arm strength for passing. He can do all sorts things, and is a canny QB that has athleticism.

Alex Green;
I love Alex Green. He reminds me so much of my RB from De La Salle. A quick guy with good intangibles and great vision. He reminds me of Oregon State RB, Jacquizz Rodgers too. He is also a workhorse always trying to get better.

Darius Bright: I'm going to use Darius ALOT more than the previous coaches for my I Formation system. I love to have a big back breaking out holes for the HBs. He is a strong FB.

Greg Salas: Greg is an amazing reciever. I'm speechless. He just has incredible Routerunning, Hands, Quickness, you name it. He will be in Professional ball, guarantee.

Lineman: We have good lineman who are very good at Zone-blocking schemes, just until I get Texas lineman

Defense: Our defense are underrated when it comes to Run-stopping. I can't wait to boast what I've done with them against USC. They will be more polished.
