Great season you're having so far. Looks like USC has their eyes set on another National Title.

Nice job with the recruits as well.

Thanks, I've had the benefit of my tough games so far being at home, still have to go up to Oregon and to Notre Dame so those will be very tough

Los Angeles, CA - The Wildcats of Arizona came into the Coliseum and gave the home town Trojans all they could handle. Both teams defenses were very stout in the running game as neither school was able to do anything in that department. The Wildcats started off the scoring late in the first when Quarterback Nick Foles scrambled to find wide receiver David Douglass to go on top 7-0.

The Trojans finally broke into the scoring column at the 4 minute remaining mark with Matt Barkley hitting TE Rhett Ellison for his first touchdown of the season. Both defenses came out swinging and the game would be tied going into the half 7-7.

The Wildcats scored first in the third quarter on a Jack Baucus touchdown from Nick Foles. Striking quickly after, freshman George Farmer took a comeback route and made a nice spin move to break away from the defense and use his speed for a 79 yard touchdown to tie the game at 14.

The final score of the game came on a 1 yard QB sneak by Matt Barkley on a 4th and goal situation. In most circumstances teams would have kicked a FG and put the game on their defense but head coach Lane Kiffin didn't want any of that. "I wanted to go for the kill, to be secure. I knew our defense wouldn't have allowed them to march down the field and score a touchdown, we have been stingy all game. I didn't want the risk of them having a good return, kicking a FG and go to overtime".

USC is sitting at 5-0 and ranked #7 in the new coaches poll heading into their bye week and just received many good phone calls from high school recruits. Last week, the Trojans played host to the Arizona Wildcats in which many local recruits were in attendance for. Immediately after the game the Trojans received verbal commits from CB Lance Hayes (Downey, CA) and DE Marcus Williams (Lehi, UT). Over the bye week, the Trojans have now picked up commits from four others; DT-Tim Fitzpatrick (Pleasant Hill, CA), MLB-Mike Pierce (E Wenatchee Bch, WA), DT-Jamie Gant (San Leandro, CA) and SS- Marcus Bowen (Santa Maria, CA). The Trojans have filled all their immediate needs (MLB, DT, SS) and now look to add depth to other positions. The Trojans now have 10 commits and only have room for 5 more under the NCAA handed down sanctions.

I think someone needs difficulty adjustments. You must have game play on Varsity if you held BSU scoreless and recruiting on All-American with all the 4* committments you are getting

Fitzpatrick looks like he is going to be a beast in the middle at 6'7 291
