Re: When the Defense Roars: Missouri Tigers Dynasty

Apologies for the lack of updates, it's end of first quarter time at high school, and I have been sick.
The next matchup + game should be done by tomorrow evening

Game Notes
Twice the Missouri Tigers and Boise State Broncos have met in the last two years.
Both games have been shootouts, and both have been highlights in seasons filled with amazing games.

There is no real hate, but the Tigers do wish to end this series with a win and a 2-1 overall record vs the Broncos. #1 vs #9, college gameday in town, this should be one for the ages.

Odds are on Missouri in a 45-35 shootout

Other games to watch in the second weekend of CFB

#25 Arkansas (1-1) hosts #13 Kansas (1-0)
#3 Illinois (1-0) hosts #20 Notre Dame (0-2)
#12 LSU (0-1) hosts #14 TCU (0-0)

It's still early in the year, but the top 3 teams in the polls control their own destinies at this point.

Conference Alignment: Again!?
When the Big XII added Arkansas from the SEC last year it seemed conference realignment was over. Apparently not now, as the ACC and Big East seem back at war with each other. Apparently the ACC wants Syrcause and Pittsburg, and the Big East is responding by trying to raid the Big XII and C-USA again.

Meanwhile the giants seem to be sleeping. The SEC is apparently not eager to battle with the Big XII again, trading A&M for Arkansas was pretty lateral if not a slight advantage due to Texas recruiting grounds, but Arkansas did leave the SEC, something that has not happened in 50 years.

The Big 10 is searching for a 14th member, and Missouri is on their lists, but so is Rutgers.

The PAC-12 has remained pact at 12 and said they will not make any changes before 2015.

The Big XII is reportedly looking at expanding to 12, but would like specific teams such as TCU, BYU, and possibly West Virginia. Short of those teams they will most likely not expand, and not soon to be sure.

Franklin shreds Broncos
In the 2012 Fiesta Bowl #3 Missouri narrowly edged the #11 Boise State Broncos 41-38 in overtime behind James Franklin and his 287 yards passing.

In the 2012 season opener #11 Boise State defeated #18 Missourri 56-44 despite Franklin throwing for 349 yards.

In 2013 James Franklin set the tone, his senior year will be his finest.

Boise State took control on the opening drive, with Southwich connecting with T Ware for a 49 yard TD to take a 7-0 lead.

T-Ware catches a beautiful 49yard TD Pass

Franklin started the game off with a 78-yard 9 play drive to tie the game at 7-7. A sack and a forced fumble later and the Tigers took a 14-7 lead, and started cruising.

Franklin repeatedly hit receivers on short routes and long alike, going into halftime with a 28-14 lead and 305 yards passing.

Harris intercepts Southwick late in the 2nd quarter

The Broncos never seem to give up though, and battled back to make it 42-28 with a quarter left to go.

The Tiger defense never let up in the fourth, and C. Browning picked off Southwick to end their last threatening drive, and the Tigers ran the clock out for a 49-28 victory.

C. Browning catches a key INT late in the game

The victory keeps the Tigers at #1 in the country, and also moves them to 2-1 against Boise State. A rematch is always possible, but everyone is now eying the most probable #1 vs #2 match in Michigan vs Missouri.

Franklin finished 39/56 for 513 yards and 4 TD's.

Tigers idle, #2 Michigan on the road
Next week #2 Michigan (2-0) hosts #1 Missouri, if they can defeat Connecticut (2-0). If so it will be the first time since the SEC Championship in 2008 that #1 played #2 in the regular season.

#4 Oregon (2-0) travels to face #16 Stanford (2-0)
