Bailey out against Texas due to family emergency Rico Lewis will start against Texas
Due to an illness in the family, Nick Bailey has went home for an unknown amount of time. Rico Lewis will start against Texas, and as long as Bailey is gone.
"Family is more important than football. Nobody wanted him to stay and have regrets later. We fully support Nick right now, and are dedicating Saturday's game to him and his family," said DC Joey Davis.

Rico dedicates his game to Nick Bailey's Grandfather
Rico hasn't played much for the Missouri Tigers this year despite being put in at the end of games during their many blowouts. He is relied upon to hand the ball off and avoid turnovers.
Rico's comments heading into warmups: "Bailey has been one hell of a mentor this year. He is a great player, one that was not sought after and warmed the bench for three years. Then he played excellent when he got his chance, and is now a first round draft pick easily. I dedicate my game today, my play, to him and his family. I wish my opportunity didn't come like this, so let's focus on him and his family today."

Lewis leads comeback, Tigers stay undefeated
It was far from the smooth sailing Tigers fans have gotten used to this year, but the Missouri Tigers rebounded after a horrible first quarter and beat the Texas Longhorns 52-36. Despite the score the Longhorns were in the game until the last 3:15.
In an emotionally charged locker room the Tigers got motivated, and came out firing. Led by true freshman Rico Lewis and D. Steele the Tigers marched 77 yards on their first drive to take a 7-0 lead.
The Texas Longhorns used a brutal option run to eat up field, but didn't hit paydirt until 2:15 left in the first quarter, tying the game at 7-apiece.
The first half was all defense. D. Washington got yet another interception
Texas kept forcing Missouri's offense off the field, and took a 14-7 lead. Missouri's defense fought back, gathering two safeties and making it 14-11 at halftime.
Lewis was sacked a lot in the first half
The second half however was hell on wheels. The Tigers, behind in every statistical category, stormed the field for 41 second half points, erased the small deficit, and took a 52-36 victory!
The game was still close to the end, until A. Harrell broke free on a simple 3rd and 5 to try and end the game, and ended up going 72 yards for a TD, making it seem like it wasn't a truely epic battle.
Caldwell had a great day, including this 100+ yard interception return for a TD
Missouri POTG:
Rico Lewis: 22 of 35 for 310 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT, sacked 3x
D. Steele 48 rushes for 228 yards, 2 TD
B. Caldwell, 5 tackles, 1 INT for 104 yards, 1 defensive TD
A. Roach, 11 tackles, 10 solo

More upsets, #5 Oklahoma State falls to unranked Iowa State
Poor Oklahoma State. Last week they got routed by Missouri, and then this week they kept the #5 ranking only to drop it in a massive loss to Iowa State which pretty much ends any chance they have at a national championship.

Game Notes
Let's see.
A top 5 offense in every category except 3rd downs facing one of the worst defenses.
A struggling offense facing a defense that has put together some amazing bend but not break performances, and is better than the numbers. Why? Because the backups play half of the games.
Missouri shouldn't even hiccup enroute to a 60-10 victory or the like.
