Yea, it started out so promising with Hansen and Stewart on a tear, but injuries and poor play from the OL has killed the season. It's pretty tough watching your QB get sacked over and over again. But it feels so real in coach mode. Just calling plays and putting all the responsibility on the players. I have enjoyed it so far.

Yeah I have been loving the coach mode in this years game. It really adds to the challenge of getting the right plays in the right situations and hoping your players execute.
Hopefully you can get some more consistent success next season.

The Big 12 has added Boise State and Texas Christian to their conference in 2012 in order to balance the conference at 12 and bring back their conference championship. The championship game will be played at the OU-Texas site. The Big 12 south now has five teams plus Iowa State.
After losing its big players, BSU and TCU, the Mountain West Conference had to make a major overall of teams. It added BYU, SMU, Fresno State, Hawaii, Houston, and Nevada. It may have lost its two biggest teams, but with the recent additions it has finally added a MWC championship game which will be played at Invesco Field at Mile High, CO, the site of the Rocky Mountain Showdown between CU and CSU. The MWC was once again left out of the automatic BCS qualifying conferences.
With the loses of Houston and SMU the C-USA North Texas and Troy from the Sun Belt Conference in order to keep its conference championship.
The WAC was drained of its remaining top tier teams and had to reload on teams including Arkansas State, Mid Tenn State, and Western Kentucky. This leaves the Sun-Belt Conference dried up and irrelevant with only 4 teams remaining. They were unable to draw in the remaining independent schools due to travel costs and low level of competition. The conference's future is in question for the 2013 season. Big 12: North - Boise State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State South - Baylor, Iowa State, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech
Mountain West: Rocky Mountain - Air Force, BYU, Colorado State, New Mexico, SMU, Wyoming Pacific - Fresno State, Hawaii, Houston, Nevada, San Diego State, UNLV
C-USA: East - ECU, Marshall, Memphis, Southern Miss, UAB, UCF West - North Texas, Rice, Troy, Tulane, Tulsa, UTEP
WAC:
Arkansas State, Idaho, Louisiana Tech, Midd Tenn State, New Mexico State, San Jose State, Utah State, Western Kentucky

Coach's Corner:
Recruiting this off season went well for Coach Embree, Brown, and myself. Although I am afraid that my OL will struggle early in the season due to inexperience, I have faith that they will progress and play hard for sophomore Hirschman. I am excited to bring in quite a few new key position players at HB and WR as well as two new FBs to give Tony Jones some room to run up the middle. This season will be all about work ethic. We need to able to put in the time to perfect this playbook and score a lot more points than last year. I trust my new field commander and his new running back. It is up to the WRs this season to get open though, with Hirschman cannon of an arm, I can a lot of balls getting tossed down the field and they will need to find them and haul them in.

Coach's Corner:
Well midway through September and we are 2-1. I am very proud of the strides this offense has taken from the end of last season to the beginning of this season. All that hard work in the off season has really paid off. Hirschman is playing like the star QB he showed flashes of last season. Jones has stepped in and given this team an enormous boost at the running game. While the number two guy, Creer, just hasn't spread his wings yet, I can guarantee his break out game is coming. Jones went down after just two carries against Stanford and Creer was given an opportunity to shine. He could only manage 27 yards on 14 carries. Not the performance either us were expecting, but he is young and this is his first taste of college action. Paul Richardson is playing like a seasoned vet, and he missed three quarters of the season last year. He has already gone for 293 yards and 4 touchdowns in just three games. He is the big man down field we needed last year and his wing man Keenan Canty is the consistent threat down the field. Congratulations to our guys beating CSU again this year, never an easy game playing out in front of 70,000 people, but they got the job done. Look for my next update on the second half of September.
Not a bad three weeks to finish out the month of September. While I would have liked to have seen a closer game against USC, we followed up a loss with a solid win against Air Force. I hope that coach Brown can get his defense on track next week against Kansas, but as for my offense, we will be ready. Has anyone here ever heard of Keenan Canty? Well I have, he is the number two receiver on this offense, and he wears Colorado across his chest proudly. 147 yards and a touchdown against USC followed up by 129 yards and 2 touchdowns against Air Force. The man wants to win games and I like that kind of attitude. We are 3-2, the best record we have had in 2 years. I have bowl aspirations this season, and I want to play in the PAC-12 championship. We will take it one step at a time.
