Re: Return to Glory: The Legacy of Rich Rodriguez

Post Game Interview:

Rich Rod: " I think we played a great game today on both sides of the ball. Our offense couldn't run the ball very well to start the game off, but our passing kept our offense moving till we found a way to start running. Webb performed well at QB today I think, except for that interception near the end of the 2nd quarter. He seemed like he was really getting in rythm with the rest of our offense. Simms did great running the ball after starting off slow. He also demonstrated that he is a great receiver and can make plays in a number of ways. I'm looking forward to how our boys play against Northern Illinois next week.

Re: Return to Glory: The Legacy of Rich Rodriguez

Jayhawks Defense steps up to make up for a lack of offense!

The Jayhawks down Northern Illinois in 2OT to take home a win. It didn't come easy as NIU dominated time of possession and offensive yards. Kansas struggled offensively and had to make several big plays to stay in the game. After the game, Offensive Coordinator Rich Rodriguez stated that he was not impressed with his own offensive play calling and said that the players were not to blame. He tried to force passing plays that just didn't work, and that almost cost the Jayhawks the game. The Jayhawks have to step it up as they go on the road to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech next week.
