Week 4

New Orleans Saints
(2-1, 1-0 Away)
Jacksonville Jaguars
(2-1, 1-0 Home)
Injury Report
WR - Marques Colston / Dislocated Kneecap (2 Weeks)
HB - Rashad Jennings / Complete Achilles Tear (Placed on IR)
LT - Alex Barron / Complete ACL Tear (Placed on IR)
RG - Kevin Haslam / Complete MCL Tear (Placed on IR)
CB - Fabian Wahsington / Complete ACL Tear (Placed on IR)
RE - Aaron Morgan / Complete Achilles Tear (Placed on IR)

DT - D'Anthony Smith / Complete Achilles Tear (Placed on IR)

FS - Terrell Whitehead / Complete Achilles Tear (Placed on IR)

This should be a good matchup as the Jags come back home to face the New Orleans Saints. The Saints will be without Marques Colston so that could be a drawback. Maurice Jones-Drew is on fire this season with 93 attempts rushing for 493 yards and 5 touchdowns. He is looking to break records this season with this kind of running game. I am going to be watching him no matter what team he plays. Even though Marques Colston isn't playing it doesn't matter. With the new addition of Darren Sproles and the deep threat of Devery Henderson, this Saints team is still a big threat to anyone they face. The Saints are coming off a very tough loss to the Houston Texans as they gave up a 6 point lead going into the fourth, missing a two point conversion to tie the game and send it into overtime, losing 24-22. The Jags are coming off an impressive domination of the Carolina Panthers, showing who's the better Rookie starter in the NFL. Blaine Gabbert is coming in as unpredictable, much of what we saw with David Garrard. All of Jacksonville will give Gabbert the benefit of the doubt as he is coming as just a rookie learning this new run-first offense. We actually had a word with him about how he feels in the NFL right now, he told us, "It's definitely different. I'm coming in and I see this tiny guy joking around pulling pranks on people, then we're in the game and I hand it off to him and can't even see where he went, the next thing I know he's in the endzone. Haha it's almost unreal how much talent this team holds, and I mean Marcedes and I have a great connection as you can tell and until a team stops us we're gonna keep coming at you so watch out."
We also got word with MoJo about his stellar season thus far. He had this to say,"Hey, see what happens when 32 teams pass me by in the draft because I'm too short? I run mad on everyone. I love it here and I never want to leave, I want to bring this team a Super Bowl ring. Also, everyone needs to stop criticizing Goldilocks man. Yeah, Goldilocks, that's what we call Blaine haha it's just messing around with him because of his hair. He's like our little Tom Brady hahaha. I feel really good about this year though. I'm getting carries like no other and I love it. My injury hasn't been aggravating me which is what I think is the scariest thing for other teams. Watch out, MVP here I come."
This looks like it could be a nail biter folks so stay tuned for the final score and stats.

Once again, Maurice Jones-Drew and Marcedes Lewis led the Jags to a third win for the season, one more win and Jack Del Rio is still head coach for the rest of the season. Wayne Weaver said he's impressed and that he thought putting him in this situation would turn things around for this franchise. The Jaguars pulled off a glorious 30-23 win against the tough Saints. Mike Thomas had his second kick return for a touchdown of the season. He is starting to become a key asset to this team as his kick returning abilities are improving. Blaine Gabbert struggled with 2 picks and no touchdowns, but it isn't a pass first offense. Del Rio told his he is mainly trying to limit his throws in giving him to study and learn. He feels that Gabbert will still be a good quarterback in the future. As for Maurice Jones-Drew, yet again another almost 200 yard performance racking up another touchdown. The man is on fire and I don't think anything is stopping him this year. Next week will be another home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Del Rio might want to take this chance to get the win as the game after that is Pittsburgh. We will see you next week.

Nice job so far, Lewis is clearly Gabbert's security blanket. Hopefully you can get him a big name WR to throw to when the time comes.

Re: Finishing Strong (2nd Try): A Jacksonville Jaguars Franchise (Madden 12)

Yeah I know haha I just checked last night and he's the league leader in receptions. Btw for everyone following. I'm going to be adding weekly scoreboards, so updating each weekly post until now and then I'll continue doing that. It looks pretty nice for me having just basic photoshop skills so don't criticize it too hard. I have class until 1:15 pm pacific standard time so look for the first week (which is half done) to be updated around 3 ish today. I have lots of time on my hands today so I'll be getting a lot done hopefully. I'm hoping to get to mid-season so I can post league leaders and sadly for some reason the roster update #6 has Peyton Manning healthy, so =(. Look for updates

Re: Finishing Strong (2nd Try): A Jacksonville Jaguars Franchise (Madden 12)

Alright so zoomed in on photoshop the scoreboard looks awesome, but took wayyy to much time. I finally finish it and go to photobucket to look at it and everything is tiny since it's such a big file. I'm sorry guys I really don't feel like copying images over to a different file to make it smaller for uploading and larger in image. Plus it's taking me so much time for just one week I decided to stop it haha so no scoreboard, I'm just going to continue how I've been doing thus far. My franchise is simple so it goes quick and you get past all the bs =)

The Bengals are coming in at 2-2 looking for a win, while the Jags are looking to go 4-1 for the first time since 2007. Del Rio is confident he will keep his starting role here in Jacksonville. MoJo is on a roll with 4 straight games of 100+ yards. Marcedes Lewis is currently leading the league in receptions. This should be a good battle between 2 rookies out of the 2011 draft. We will be watching Gabbert and if he will try to actually pass deep and play a little risky instead of throwing dump off passes to Lewis, but it's all up to Del Rio. If that's what gets you wins, then keep going for it. Dalton is hoping to come in and steal the spotlight with other rookie AJ Green. This should be a great one folks. Stay tuned for the final scores and stats.

A last second thriller just happened here in Jacksonville. Instead of making Cincinnati waste their last timeout, coach Jack Del Rio made them pass the ball and it was intercepted with 1 minute left in the 4th quarter on their own 10 and they had the lead. Cincinnati would end up scoring making the game 22-21. Now Gabbert has to clutch a situation he has forced. Jason Hill got them good field position at their own 43. Gabbert then threw a 20 yarder to West followed by another deep ball to none other than Marcedes Lewis who had another big day. They then ran down the clock with Jones-Drew and Scobee hit a game winning 38 yard field goal as time expired! It was quite an exciting game, as it started out with Cincinnati dominating Jacksonville in the first half, and the kickoff of the second half; Mike Thomas fumbled and Cincinnati recovered it right away. On the next kickoff though, Mike Thomas recorded his third kickoff touchdown of the season in five games. The kid is a great special teams guy. Maurice Jones-Drew ran for another 100+ yards and a touchdown again. Gabbert showed some spark as he threw one touchdown but also threw 2 picks, one almost costing them the game. The Bengals defense was very stingy this game but Del Rio believed in his boys and they came out with a win, securing his job for the rest of the season. Tune in next week as the Jags go on the road to face the struggling 2-3 Steelers who have lost most of their O-line and a critical defensive tackle.

Pittsburgh is coming in not as expected with a lousy 2-3 record. They are missing three key offensive lineman and a key defensive lineman as well which is forcing Roethlisberger to get pressured more often. The Jags are looking good this year behind the monster running back Maurice Jones-Drew. I still think with Kiesel, Smith, Harrison, Farrior, Woodley, Taylor and Polamalu that Gabbert and MoJo will have a tough game today. There should be not too much of a surprise if the hot Jags win today though as no defense has been able to stop MoJo. Stay tuned for the final score and stats.

Wow, what an amazing game. Shaun Suisham had 17 of Pittsburgh's 29 points as they go on to their third victory of the season completely shutting down Maurice Jones-Drew in the first half. The Steel Curtain forced two fumbles on MoJo as well as one on Gabbert and picked him off once. Despite Roethlisberger's three picks, one of them a pick six, the Steelers held off the hot Jaguars 29-27. Gabbert threw his first 200+ yard game and Maurice Jones-Drew had his first game where he didn't rush over 100 yards. Gabbert showed he could throw deep hitting a wide open Mike Thomas deep down the middle off a slant for a 79 yard touchdown. Of course, Marcedes Lewis had the most receptions for the Jags again as I see him and Gabbert teaming up in the future to be one of the best QB/TE combos in the NFL. Courtney Greene had an 86 yard pick six, but later in the 3rd quarter he got hurt and it turns out he has a broken hand and will miss the next 9 weeks. The Jaguars have not decided to put him on the IR and will keep him for the last 2 weeks of the season. Next for the Jags will be the undefeated Ravens back in Jacksonville. Stay tuned for an exciting week 7.

The undefeated Ravens are coming off of a dominating win against the Texans to face the Jags who just lost a close one last week to the Steelers. The Jags might be 4-2 but they are undefeated at home and don't plan to lose anytime soon. I find Maurice Jones-Drew hungry for another 100 yard plus game. Blaine Gabbert is starting to look more comfortable in his starting role at QB so look for him to open up a little more to his receivers other than just Marcedes Lewis. The Ravens are 2-0 on the road and look tough as the best in the AFC right now. Coach Del Rio told us he wasn't threatened and plans to attack them hard on every play, along with trying to force picks and fumbles against Flacco. Stay tuned for the final score and stats.

Maurice Jones-Drew. That's all I have to say about this game. He is just unstoppable and I think he might break records this year. Blaine Gabbert also threw for his best game yet having over a 100 passer rating. He found Jason Hill 6 times for over 100 yards and also found Mike Thomas for over 100 yards. His favorite receiver, Marcedes Lewis, caught two touchdown passes in two straight drives and had a 6 reception game as well. This was a blowout until the Ravens started coming back but couldn't hold off the big leg in Josh Scobee who hit a 50 yarder and a 58 yarder to put the nail in the coffin. Ray Rice had 2 touchdowns for almost 100 yards and Maurice Jones-Drew also had 2 touchdowns but for almost 200 yards. If MoJo keeps playing this way, I think the Jaguars will take the AFC South crown over the Colts and Manning, but they still have to play the colts to prove to us they are ready. Next week the Jags go on the road to face Houston and then they have a bye week where we will go over the league leaders and division standings, and who is on rookie watch for the number 1 pick. Stay tuned for next week.
