For the last decade, Detroit's annual Thanksgiving Day game rarely received much national attention as the struggling Lions were largely irrelevant.
That is no longer the case.

Cincinnati (November 27th, 2011) - For much of the past eight seasons, the Cincinnati Bengals have dominated the Cleveland Browns. The Browns pulled off a week one win against the Bengals 31-7, and Cleveland looks to build off a last-second win this past Sunday.

Cleveland, managed to end a season-high five-game skid last week by topping Jacksonville 38-35.

"I like suspense," left tackle Joe Thomas said. "But man, this is a little too much."

The Browns might have all-around player Josh Cribbs available should they need to pull out another tight game.

Cribbs, who has missed seven straight games with a herniated disk, practiced Friday for the first time in eight weeks.

Cleveland's Jason Campbell, who has posted 1,417 yards over the past four games, connected on a season-best 21 of his attempts (21 of 33) last week against Jacksonville.

Campbell, was 6 of 13 against the Bengals in September before tearing his quadricep.

Buster Skrine looks to have a bigger role in the Offense now that he finally had a break-out game.

Coach Shrumur said that (WR) Mohamed Massaquoi will see some action after having a good week of practice, Massaquoi has 12 catches on the season.

Cincinnati (November 28th, 2011) - The Browns (4-7) stayed right behind Baltimore and Pittsburgh in the AFC North with another second-half comeback forged by their surprising all-round good play

Mohamed Massaquoi took a few triumphant strides toward the goal post with the ball in his hand and rose up for an imitation, Michael Jordan-style dunk over the crossbar.

The Cleveland Browns made everything look easy in a 45-27 victory over the slumping Bengals.

"We didn't stop them. How much further explanation do you want?" said Bengals coach
Marvin Lewis, whose defense was unable to stop Massaquoi, who finished with a career-high 247 yards and 4 TDs.

"We prepared well, but when we got in the game we weren't excpeting that type of high powered attack."

Seneca Wallace got what he wished for and had 11 touches, piling up 111 yards rushing. "man I was glad Coach got the message" said Wallace.

Game notes
Defensive backs: Joe Haden and T.J. Ward each had an INT.
Campbell was 15 of 28 for 352 yards with 5 TD and an INT.
Buster Skrine kept his hot-streak alive with another kick-return TD.
The Bengals lead the intrastate series 39-38.

Cleveland (December 4th, 2011) - Baltimore has dominated Cleveland in recent years and is favored to do so again Sunday in this battle of AFC North teams where the home side is a big underdog.

"It doesn't matter how many wins and losses they have," linebacker Ray Lewis said.

"They always play good against us. It's going to be a dogfight, so we better bring it."

Baltimore's defense may be without Ed Reed for a second straight game as he nurses an injured right knee. The veteran safety was held out of practice Wednesday, but he is still hoping to suit up against the Browns.

"I'm doing everything I can to get back and help this team get where we want to go," Reed said.

With the weather turning cold, Campbell needs the aid of an effective ground attack, the Browns have put in a few extra "plays" to help get the ground game rolling.

If Cleveland doesn't have an answer for Rice, it will have a tough time getting the win.

The Browns are over-matched on offense and defense, but they can make a difference here against the Ravens. They do have an edge in the kicking game with one of the most explosive returners this year in Buster Skrine.

Josh Cribbs aggravated his herniated disk before Sunday's game at Cincinnati and is doubtful this week against the Ravens.

Cleveland (December 5th, 2011) - Wide receiver Greg Little provided early flash, with a 34-yard run to open the game, catching a touchdown pass and drawing a pass interference call to set up a field goal at the end of the half.

Ahtyba Rubin then took charge with three of Cleveland's five sacks and two forced fumbles on Ray Rice in a 24-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

"Ray, he's had a problem holding onto the ball this year, and we knew we'd get opportunities," Rubin said.

"Our biggest thing was to stay focused and not give up on our hustle."

The Browns (5-7) shut down Ray Rice and then hounded Flacco, who had little time to operate behind a banged-up line.

"Oh, it feels great," Campbell said. "We came out and made a statement last week and this week we wanted it to carry over and we came out and got the 'W,' but we've still got a long ways to go."

Game notes
Greg Little is more involved with the offense now then ever, he finished with 20 touches for 127 yards and a TD.
Campbell was 14 of 31 for 306 yards with 2 TDs and 2 INTs.
Mohamed Massaquoi had another huge game with 154 yards receiving.
Josh Cribbs missed his 9th straight game.
Ed Reed played, however was used sparingly.
Seneca Wallace
wasn't as productive but still had his touches.

A league source told ESPN reporter Sal Paolantonio that the Cleveland Browns have decided to cut-ties with running back Montario Hardesty.

The often hurt Hardesty hasn't been able to hold on to the ball lately and has been a disappointment since being drafted.

"We would like to wish Montario
good luck in all his future endeavors," said Shurmur.

It's a long journey to reach the NFL playoffs and it's been a long time since Oakland played beyond the regular season, this could be the year.
The Packers are familiar with the post-season and look to finish strong and repeat as Champions.

Gore has 7,196 career rushing yards and needs 149 to pass late Hall of Famer Joe Perry (7,344) for the most in 49ers history.
The Cardinals look to hang on to their division lead, that seems to be slipping away each week.

Pittsburgh (December 8th, 2011) - Cleveland seems to have put their 5-game losing streak behind them as they have reeled of 3-straight wins to be right back in the play-off hunt.

The neighboring cites have been rivals for 60 years but, since the NFL merger in 1970.

Win, and the Steelers will take the division, lose and the Browns are still alive. Cleveland has it's destiny in it's hands.

Normally, the Steelers have little trouble beating the Browns; they've won 13 of the past 14 in what has been a rivalry in name only since the Browns returned to the NFL in 1999.

But everybody in the Steelers locker room knows about the lone defeat, 13-6 two season's ago to a one-win Cleveland team.

That loss finished off a five-game Steelers losing streak and eventually kept them out of the playoffs.

"They know what happened two years ago and we're trying not to let that happen again. They're saying we can't have that again. We know what we want, and it's right in front of us to get," said Roethlisberger.

"The motivation's the AFC North and trying to get this win, and then take it one game at a time," said Shurmur.

Returner/Receiver Josh Cribbs will be back from injury, and according to Shurmur will have a huge-impact on offense.

Clinton Portis looks to take the field for his first action of the 2011-2012 season.

"I am well rested" Portis joked.

"I'm ready to go, when Coach Shurmur called I felt really good about it."

Portis and Jason Campbell played together in Washington, "I hope it's like they don't miss a beat," said Shurmur.

Re: Factory of Sadness - Cleveland Browns Franchise (Madden 12)

Good franchise so far, love the reasonable team and outcomes. Hate when writers trade for all stars or win every gm 50-3.

Got one question V.Young still on Titans why isnt in Philly? Just curious since you have Asoumagh there.
