- Kill the gamefilm. Kill it with fire. Uggh, why can't we score? Oh, I know. It's because we're only playing 5 scholarship players. UT-Martin is playing 10 times that.
- Scott played pretty well, but still, the fact that we lost 49-0 doesn't make up for that in any way.
- Next week is Florida. Holding them to under 70 is going to be the objective of the week.

Coaches Corner
- We just got smashed. Badly. Again.
- Our defense played with their hair on fire for the first half for the most part. Our depth then caught up with us and we gave up scores at will.
- Webb is definitely not an SEC caliber QB. He can make some pretty decent throws, but he is far too inconsistent for us to win often.
- Scott got thrown back to reality for this week. Less than 2.5 yards a carry is going to end up killing us.
- The option game will be sprinkled in next week. We had great success in the closing minutes against UF with Webb being quick and Scott being a bit powerful.
- Florida's QB is just ungodly. He hit 5 in a row. Then we stopped him. Then he hit another 4 in a row. Then we stopped him twice. Then he hit 3 in a row.
- Can't say I expected much more today. Reality is, we're not that good, and we're a long way from being a Tennessee-caliber football team again.

LSU Tigers
Tennessee traveled to LSU and Death Valley hoping to get some type of favorable result. Early on, it looked as if they would get it. The offense, with Jordan Webb, the walk-on from Knoxville Central High School, leading it and it's new option attack, would drive into LSU territory 3 times on it's first 4 drives. However, a fumble by freshman Jamar Stovall, an interception thrown by Jordan Webb, and a missed field goal derailed that.
Luckily, the Tennessee defense was playing well through the first 25 minutes of the half. However, with the score still 0-0, the LSU Tigers took charge, as they started to give their star running back more carries. LSU surged ahead 20-0 before the break on the back of their running back and misfires by Tennessee's offense.
The second half seemed like it would never end for the Vols. The rain pounded on the stadium, and so did the LSU scoring run. They scored an astounding 31 points in the 3rd quarter. In the 4th, LSU continued to run the ball well, and Tennessee continued to get buried. After it was all said and done, the Vols were just happy to get out of there. Jordan Webb was lost for 3 weeks, leaving the backup to take the slaughtering.

Tennessee was looking for a win, and the defending Ivy League champs were coming to town hoping to get what would be the biggest win of their season by far. The Vols came out in their 1970's away uniforms, trying to bring that magic back to this team that has struggled.
The Vols struck first with a 35 yard TD run to start the game by quarterback Tim Parker. However, a penalty on the extra point forced them out of range, so they had to go for two. They did not make it, so the first quarter ended with Tennessee up by the margin of 6-0.
The second saw Tennessee extend their margin even more. Parker was actually giving the Vols a passing attack they hadn't seen in forever, and their running game was working wonders for them. Jamar Stovall, one of only five scholarship players on the team, was getting holes to run through, and the confidence of the Vols was soaring. They struck with 3 touchdowns in the 2nd quarter to extend their halftime lead to 26-0.
The second half saw Tennessee go into afterburner mode, as they continued to pound the ball with efficiency. However, Princeton scored their only touchdown of the game on an astounding 4 play, 97 yard drive that ended with a 50 yard TD pass. That would be one of the only highlights for Princeton.
Tennessee dominated, putting up 2 more TD's in garbage time. However, the result was no longer in doubt, as the Vols won by a 40 point margin. The students rushed the field and tore down the goal posts, and carried them out of the stadium. The town had reason to celebrate, at least for tonight.

Tennessee went down to Georgia, however, they did not play like devils. They more or less played like little girls in tutu's and all that other stuff that goes along with it. The first quarter was just bad, however, it was nothing compared to the rest of the game.
Georgia massacred a struggling Tennessee team by a count of 85-0. Tennessee's coach was just trying to run the clock down and get out of Athens without breaking the NCAA record for worst margin of loss in modern college football history. Mark Richt looked like he was hellbent on showing Tennessee who was boss for years to come.
The Vols have the week off next week. They'll need it.
