(East Rutherford, New Jersey) - On a day where two running backs combined for over 400 yards, in a torrential downpour, it was the Miami Dolphins escaping with the slim lead. Reggie Bush is on a second straight game where his stat output had been beyond insane, only outshone by Ahmad Bradshaw who wouldn't even play the whole game and rush for more yards outright than Reggie. The pouring rain helped the running backs slip out from tackles much more and a lot of slipping defenders made for an easy ground game. What may be over looked is the aerial attacks.
A normally strong Eli Manning was kept on lock with a sub 200 passing yard day while Matt Moore would add his own 200 yard performance and the first multi-touchdown performance of the season, helping to ease some of his critics. His third touchdown to top receiver, Brandon Marshall on a heave for the game winning score. "I saw he had gotten behind the defender and it was let. I took a shot and he caught it on the run. It was a great play, he is a great guy to be throwing to." Spoke an elated Matt Moore after the game.
Not much can be said for a normally stout Miami defense that saw it give up the highest rushing yards in more than a season, "I wasn't happy seeing Bradshaw moving the ball like that." Spoke Dansby. There was rumours that the Dolphins went out of their way to hurt the running back who was carving up their defense which Dansby retorted, "No NFL player should be gunning like that at another guy. It's football, people get hurt."
Bradshaw had a minor injury that would sideline him for the final drive of the game, it wouldn't be anything serious enough to take him out for any more time than that however, as the Giants breath a collective sigh of relief. With the win, the Dolphins improve to 6-1. One of their best starts in recent history and with a battle against the 5-2 Chiefs looming, they have another challenge ahead of him. Will Reggie Bush continue his insane trend that seems to be fit more for a video game than the football field? It's unlikely but with him being on fire like he is, he will be entertaining to watch.
