There's a website that does some modding and whatnot to madden for the PC. updated rosters and schedules, then they have programs to help with roster editing and franchise editing. I don't know the rules for posting links to other forums here, so I don't want to do it. But I guess PM me if you want the link

Re: Dynasty In The Desert: 2012 Arizona Cardinals

2012 Season Preview

The 2012 Arizona Cardinals have their work cut out for them. Though the 8-8 record they posted last season would have been enough to win the division in the past, the emergence of the San Francisco 49ers as a powerhouse football team has made the NFC West a much tougher division to be competitive in. Even a 9-7 record isn't going to cut it to get a wild card playoff spot in the NFC.

Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt is on the hot seat. The Cardinals have not made it to the playoffs since 2009 and they have struggled to find a replacement to Kurt Warner at the quarterback position. It is rumored that if the Arizona Cardinals do not make it to the playoffs this season that Ken Whisenhunt will not return as the head coach.

Offense
The Cardinals have a QB controversy on the offensive side of the ball. John Skelton finished up the season as the starter last year after Kevin Kolb went down with an injury. Although Kolb was the better Quarterback statistically, John Skelton went 5-2 as a starter while Kevin Kolb was just 3-6. The Cardinals also gave up a lot to land Kolb from the Philadelphia Eagles, giving up CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie as well as a 2nd round pick. Factoring in that and the hefty contract Kevin Kolb has, you can't help but think that Kolb is the favorite to start the 2012 season.

The personnel has not changed drastically for the Cardinals. Most starters will return to their starting positions in 2012. The exceptions are at wide receiver, right guard, and right tackle. Rookie wide receiver Michael Floyd will likely take over the #2 wide receiver spot and Adam Snyder was brought in from the San Francisco 49ers to start at right guard. Jeremy Bridges still returns at right tackle, though it is widely believed that rookie Bobby Massie will take over the starting right tackle spot.

The Arizona Cardinals were 24th in points per game last season and must show improvement if they want to be playoff contenders.

Defense
There are very few changes on the defensive side of the ball as well. Dan Williams is projected to start at defensive tackle, and Joey Porter is going to be working more out of the left outside linebacker position opposite of second year player Sam Acho. A.J. Jefferson will be stepping in at cornerback while rookie Jamell Fleming will work out of the nickel spot.

The Arizona Cardinals ranked 17th in the league in points per game last season.

Re: Dynasty In The Desert: 2012 Arizona Cardinals

"Dream Team" Rolls Over Cards
The team formerly known as "Dream Team" disposed of the Arizona Cardinals easily at home. Kevin Kolb struggled throughout the season opener, completing less than 50% of his passes and throwing 3 interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown by Eagles cornerback Asomugha. He wasn't helped by his receivers, who dropped a total of 5 passes on the day. Larry Fitzgerald also missed the entire 2nd half of the game with a head injury he sustained after converting on a 3rd and long passing down. "There's nothing wrong with me. 3 years ago I would have been back out on that field 4 plays later." Commented Larry Fitzgerald, "But nowadays with all the new safety player rules the team medical staff wouldn't let me back out on the field. I'm completely fine, I've taken much worse hits than that."

The Eagles, who have struggled with rushing defense in the past, allowed just 37 yards on the ground, thanks in large part to newly acquired MLB DeMeco Ryans. The Cardinals had a very tough time stopping Michael Vick. Vick completed 67% of his passes and threw for 3 touchdowns with no interceptions. When there was nothing there in the passing game, he had no problem tucking the ball and running with it. Second year cornerback Patrick Peterson struggled greatly in the passing game. He allowed DeSean Jackson 122 yards through the air as well as 2 touchdowns; one on a long 63 yard bomb that he allowed Jackson to get behind him, and another in the redzone when he missed on an open field tackle. The Cardinals will face off against the division rival Seahawks next week in Seattle.
