Re: Roll Tribe - BMott418's Florida State Seminoles (NCAA 13)
FLORIDA STATE TRAMPLES WAKE FOREST, 56-21
Tallahassee, FL - Last season, Wake Forest pulled off a huge upset in a 35-30 victory over Florida State. This year, the Seminoles did not let that history repeat itself.
The Seminoles outgained the Demon Deacons 312-74 en route to a 56-21 blowout victory.
"It was just one of those games where everything clicked offensively, and they just could not stop us," sophomore running back Devonta Freeman said. Freeman ran for 90 yards on 12 carries and 2 touchdowns before being pulled in the 3rd quarter due to the commanding lead the Seminoles had attained.
Wake Forest surprisingly enough held a slight lead after a touchdown scamper by quarterback Tanner Price gave them a 7-3 lead. After that, the Seminoles took over, scoring 38 unanswered points to put the game well out of their reach.

Game Notes
Clemson won last year's match-up, 35-30. However, Florida State quarterback EJ Manuel did not play that game due to an injury suffered the week before.
Re: Roll Tribe - BMott418's Florida State Seminoles (NCAA 13)
FLORIDA STATE SURVIVES 5 TURNOVERS, EARLY DEFICIT
Florida State senior running back Chris Thompson dives in for the first of his two touchdowns.
Tallahassee, FL - Clemson took a 21-0 lead with 2:46 left in the first quarter, leading everyone in Doak Campbell Stadium to believe that Florida State's national championship hopes were going down the drain. Then the Seminole offense started
Florida State scored 31 unanswered points between the first and fourth quarters, as the Seminoles overcame an early deficit and 5 turnovers to win, 38-28.
EJ Manuel had as bad a performance as you could possibly have, throwing for 338 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions, and carrying the ball 12 times for 65 yards, fumbling twice and losing one of the fumbles.
However, Florida State was bailed out by the efforts of running backs James Wilder Jr, Devonta Freeman, and Chris Thompson. They combined for 234 yards on the ground and 3 touchdowns to lead the Seminoles.
Clemson had the game seemingly well in hand in the first quarter. Led by quarterback Tahj Boyd, the Tigers got off to an early lead, scoring on their first 3 possessions. After that, however, the Tigers offense was stifled by a stingy Seminole defense which.
Boyd finished going 13-23 with 253 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception through the air, while also getting sacked 10 times, 3 of which by Florida State defensive end Bjoern Werner.
Clemson running back Andre Ellington had a game high 158 yards on 18 carries and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to hold off the Seminoles rally.

EASTERN MICHIGAN SHOCKS #8 MICHIGAN STATE WITH LATE TD
Eastern Michigan's football program isn't really considered a big program at all. After knocking off the #8 team in the nation, that might change.
Quarterback T. Benz ran in a 2 yard touchdown with 44 seconds remaining, as Eastern Michigan shocks Michigan State, 24-23, handing the Spartans their first loss of the season. Benz threw for 102 yards and a touchdown, while also running for 53 yards on 16 carries and the game winning touchdown.
MARYLAND STOMPS #6 WEST VIRGINIA
Some believed that Maryland would cause a commotion this season. On Saturday, they did just that.
Quarterback CJ Brown threw for 305 yards and 5 touchdowns, and wide receiver M. Furstenburg caught 8 passes for 198 yards and 3 of those touchdowns, as the Terrapins shock West Virginia, 45, 21
AUBURN SHOCKS #7 LSU, 24-13
LSU's national title hopes took a huge shot Saturday, as they suffered their second loss of the season at the hands of rival Auburn.
WITHOUT ROBINSON, #4 MICHIGAN FALLS TO NOTRE DAME
Without starting quarterback and Heisman candidate Denard Robinson, the Michigan offense was virtually non-existent.
Michigan struggled to just 128 passing yards, as rival Notre Dame took down the Wolverines, 20-6.
#9 KANSAS STATE SNEAKS BY #3 OKLAHOMA, 20-17
In a pivitol game to open up Big 12 play for both teams, Kansas State wanted to make a statement. By getting off to a 20-0 start, they were on their way to doing so.
Oklahoma would answer back with 10 points of their own in the 2nd quarter, but a late rally by the Sooners fell short, as the Wildcats held off a late comeback attempt to win, 20-17.
Re: Roll Tribe - BMott418's Florida State Seminoles (NCAA 13)
FLORIDA STATE OVERCOMES TURNOVER PROBLEM, HOLDS OFF USF
South Florida halfback Demetris Murray busts off a 24 yard touchdown run
EJ Manuel now leads the league in interceptions thrown with 11 on the season. Still, he remains the starting quarterback for Florida State, despite throwing 4 interceptions for the second consecutive game, even getting benched in the middle of the game
Manuel went 10 for 27, throwing for 187 yards, 2 touchdowns, and those 4 interceptions, but the Seminoles still prevailed over South Florida, 38-24.
Manuel was temporarily benched in favor of sophomore quarterback Clint Trickett, but after Trickett threw an interception his own, which was returned for a touchdown, and later was hurt, Manuel earned his way back on the field by throwing a 24 yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Christian Green.
USF quarterback BJ Daniels had a much worse game than Manuel, throwing for just 64 yards and 4 interceptions with a 31% completion percentage.
This was offset by a big running game by Demetris Murray, who ran for 147 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Daniels ran in his own touchdown on a 45 yard scamper in the fourth quarter to bring the Bulls within 7.
Then, running back Chris Thompson returned the ensuing kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown to put the Seminoles back up by 14.
Daniels attempted to lead the Bulls back, but ended up throwing an interception to dash any hopes of a comeback.
