Utah plays host to the #1 team in the country this week, playing the USC Trojans. The Utes look to bounce back after falling short in overtime to the Sun Devils. The Trojans lead the all-time series between Utah, 7-3. Their last meeting was last season, with USC escaping an upset 23-14.
alrighty all caught up now, hope you guys enjoy this, got a tough one coming up against USC!
Hope you keep it close, it's never easy to beat #1. Kind of cool to see how far Utah has come, now the are hosting to number 1 team in the land USC, obviously it's a conference game but still, impressive.

I use All-American. It kind of reduces the Skynet pre-determined plays type of thing. But Heisman is good, and I know there are players better than I am. And if you manage to beat USC.. I would be mighty impressed.
GAME FIVE, 2012
#1 USC TROJANS (4-0) (2-0) AT UTAH UTES (3-1) (0-1)
WIDE LEFT!
UTAH DOES THE UNTHINKABLE, UPSETS #1 USC
USC misses the potential go ahead field goal wide left, John White IV rushed for 193 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Salt Lake City, UT (AP) -- "Every dog has it's day, and today was our day!" said coach Roy in an interview following today's shocking game. In what was probably the biggest upset so far this season, the Utah Utes took down the #1 USC Trojans winning 42-40. In a game that no one saw coming, both teams exchanged blows, as the lead went back and forth throughout the entire game.
The #1 team in the land jumped out to a 13-7 after scoring on a 13 yard touchdown run, forcing an interception, then making a 44 yard field goal. On the ensuing kickoff WR Devonte Christopher went to the house 98 yards to give Utah a 14-13 lead. After a great stop defensively, Utah got the ball back and didn't waste any time, as John White IV would break free for a 80 yard touchdown run. USC would add another field goal, and with 0:23 seconds remaining the Utes would extend their lead to 12 thanks to a 44 yard touchdown connection from QB Jordan Wynn to WR Dres Anderson. After a fumble by USC, Utah tried to get another quick score before the half, but their plan would backfire, as USC's N. Robey intercepted Wynn's pass and returned it to the house, to make the score 28-23 Utah going into halftime.
The Utes opened the second half strong defensively, forcing another three and out. They then drove dow the field and finished the drive off with a 38 yard touchdown pass from Wynn to Christopher. USC would cut Utah's lead down to two via a 1 yard touchdown run, and a 52 yard boot. Both teams then exchanged possessions until 2:39 left in the fourth, when the Utes punched it in to take a 42-33 lead. The unthinkable would almost occur, as USC would drive down the field and score on a 44 yard bomb from Matt Barkley to V. Blackwell with 1:26 left. The Trojans then made Utes' Nation silent as they would recover the onside kick, down by 2 with a minute remaining. On the first play of the drive, USC would get into field goal range and everyone thought the game was over. After wasting some clock, USC lined up for the potential game winning field goal, but coach Rob Roy would call a timeout to ice the kicker. Boy was that the best thing he could have done, as the Trojans kicker would come out of the timeout and hook the kick wide left to give the Utes the win.
