Re: Becoming a Dominant Football School: NCAA 13 Duke Blue Devils Dynasty

New Coach Hired
Today the Duke Blue Devils have announced, former quarterback of the Blue Mountain State Goats, Alex Moran as their new head coach. Durring the press conference today Moran stated, "I'm really looking forward to this season. I think we have a very solid group of young men that could suprise many people." Many analysts have criticized this decision to hire Moran citing his poor work ethic while he was in college.

Duke begins the season with a tough home game against Florida International. FIU is led by junior running back Kedrick Rhodes and senior wide reciever Wayne Times. It should be a close game as Duke is a 3 point favorite. Duke was projected to win by Kirk Herbstreit.

Re: Becoming a Dominant Football School: NCAA 13 Duke Blue Devils Dynasty

Blue Devils Rally In Second Half To Defeat FIU 41-23

Today the blue devils kick off the season with a 41-23 victory. After falling behind 10-0 in the 1st quarter, Sean Renfree hooked up with Jamison Crowder for a 27 yard touchdown pass a minute into the second quarter. That really got the team going. On the next defensive series for the Blue Devils would force a fumble and score a touchdown 3 plays later. However, FIU would go down and score on their next drive and take a 3 point 3 into halftime. The Blue Devils could have tied it up with no time left in the 2nd quarter but Jack Willoughby missed a 41 yard field goal. To start the 3rd quarter both teams would share 3 and outs. When FIU got the ball back they would fumble for the second time and they would set up Duke with a first and goal from the 10. It would only take Duke 1 play to score as Desmond Scott would run for a 10 yard touchdown. Duke would miss the extra point. Duke would then force FIU to punt and Duke would go on an 11 play, 66 yard drive which would end on Jamison Carter's 3rd touchdown catch of the game. FIU would drive down to Duke's 25 and they would fumble for the 3rd time in the game. On the next play Sean Renfree would hit Corey Gattis streaking down the field for a 59 yard touchdown. Duke would then force FIU to punt and they would score another touchdown to put the nail in the coffin to secure the win.
