UM @ GTech: Post Game

Do you hear them Buzzing?!?!

Watch out for the stinger!
Yellow jackets strikes back late in the fourth quarter for the win!

Atlanta, GA - " It was a tough loss, you could see it in the players faces. To loose such a close game isn't ever a good thing. We will have to move on and prepare for the next game and hope for the best." Coach golden stated after the game.

Talk about a heartbreak! Going all the way down to the way and not coming out the winner could derail any type of momentum a team has! That's what the hurricanes must be feeling after being dealt a danger into their heart!

Late fourth quarter turnovers by canes quarterback stephen morris didn't help the cause any better. Throwing two picks which helped sealed the win for the Yellow jackets.

" It stung..knowing that you let down your team. Especially when the game's on the line like that. I let my team down, let the coaches down and I let our fans down." Morris stated in an interview with erin andrews.

It also didn't help that the canes HAD the game but missed the opportunity. With a 1:00 left in the game the hurricanes carved up GTech defense but stalled inside their 20. On a 4 & 1 the coaching staff send out the kicking team instead of going for the game winning touchdown. Sr. Kicker Jake wieclaw sent up for a 21 Yd kicked...the ball was hiked and the crowd was quiet. All you could hear was the ball being booted into the air....only to go WIDE RIGHT!!! The crowd erupted knowing the yellow jacket just won just a tight ball game!!

" This was a huge game for us!! People were saying all weak how the canes were gonna beats or do this to us, but we came out and put the critiques on silent!" Tevin Washington stated after the huge win!

Two Top tier team tangles

Two teams, One goal! Wisconsin and Nebraska face off!!

Lincoln, - Neb. - Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is the Gridiron gab gang bring you live updates every minute of the college football season! This week we have to big games that could shake up the Top 25 as we know it! First up, We have the wisconsin badgers going up against the nebraska cornhuskers! Both teams are sitting atop the poll rankings and both haven't lost a game as of yet but that will change with todays battle! Wisconsin enters this game lead by the heisman hopeful montee ball and he has just been dominating! After the loss of transfer QB Danny O'Brien everyone thought the badgers would go down hill with teams putting even more emphasis on stopping mister ball, too bad most teams couldn't do it! On the flip side of things this will be Nebraska tough test of the season so far, as they've been facing off against lesser opponents. Who will win this heat B1G battle?!?!

Now we turn our attention to the big game of the week! #1 Arkansas @ Texas A&M. The aggies start the year off good with a big win over SEC opponent Florida but then dropped the ball against SMU the following week. This will be the second encounter with an SEC team since joining the conference earlier this season! Arkansas has been putting up the number the last couple of weeks. Just last week they down the big dog in their conference the crimson tide to earn the nations recognition as the best team in the nation! Question is how long will this magic last them? and can the aggies be the one to put an end to their winning ways!!

NC State @ Miami: Post game

BIG WIN AT HOME!!!

The Alpha dog prevails!
The wolfpack late resurgence cut short by the canes!

Coral Gables, Fl. - This is what we call a one sided affair! The canes put their foot on the gas and didn't let up the entire game, as they notch their first conference win of the season after dropping two before!

" Man...that was a great game! To be able to put up points like that and impose your will on the other teams defense." stated senior runningback Mike James " I didn't think I would've had that kind of performance today but hopefully we can build on today success. "

Nc State had no answer to the canes powerful running game in which they racked up over 300 yds all together. The star of the ground game goes to Sr. runningback Mike james who pounded the ball for over 200+ yardage on the night and scored the game sealing touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

" We had the chance to come back in this game but we didn't excute our gameplay like we should've. Tough to get beaten like this but hopefuly we will bounce back soon" answered qb Mike glennon after the game.

NC State did have acouple answers for the hurricanes in the form of HB J. washington, who on the night scored two rushing tds and caught a td pass. Talk about being multi-talented out there kid. However the wolfpack rushing attacked stalled early in the game but finally came alive to bite the hurricanes late in the game! Sadly the spark they needed came abit late to the party, as canes down the wolfpack 28-41

Jovon Ricks Commits!

Canes get their first recruit of the year!

Port Orange, Fl - Welcome to the Full Ride, where we bring you live coverage on what's going on around the nation in sports. This week we bring to you Wide Receiver Jovon Ricks who just last week verbally committed to the university of miami.

Standing a just a mere 6'0", Ricks is about average height for most receiver in high school. He doesn't have the best of hands but what he bring to the table is precise route running along with the ability to catch the ball in heavy traffic as we seen him do many time, as a Knight here in Port orange high.

With 3 other ACC teams and one BIG 12 team buying for his services. He decided to take his talent down to miami to play for coach golden and his staff. Let's hear what Ricks had to say about his choice.

Ricks - " Well it wasn't an easy choice I can tell you that. I had FSU, Clemson, GT and Texas trying to recruit me. I really didn't want to leave home so I narrowed it down between FSU and UM. When I visited the campus of miami couple of weeks ago, it just felt like home to me. They had it all from that great canes tradition, an amazing coaching staff, calm atmosphere and everything else. I can't wait to be a cane because it's all about the "U"

Name - Jovon Ricks
Position - Wide Receiver [Possession]
Sparq - 67.00 [3 Star]
Hometown - Port Orange, FL
Commitment -

Who ever wins this will be the undisputed winner of the SEC East and most likely earn a guaranteed spot in the SEC Championship game which is later this year! Both teams come into the matchup ranked in the top 5 polls, so you know this will be even more pressure to win. For georgia they are coming off a win against Tennessee and looks to remain hot on the season by riding sophomore (rs) halfback ken malcome back to the promise land! They rank fourth in the nation in rushing offense, them dawgs will be a handful to bring down!

On the flip side we have the gamecocks of south carolina hosting the dawgs today. The gamecocks are coming off a beat down of kentucky in which they showed no mercy in their victory! They have already lost OLB D. Jeffery for the season due to a broken wrist. That still hasn't slowed their defense down at all, as they look to move on in the poll rankings and hope to play for the BCS championship

Sided Line, Thrusted into the starting role??

Sided Lined!!

Morris was knocked out of last week's game with a concussion

Miami,Fl - Reports have been going around this past week saying that coach golden of the miami hurricanes will be benching stephen morris this week because of the concussion he suffered last week against NC State.

Reporter - " Now coach is it true? Are you withholding your starting quarterback against Notre dame this weekend??"

Coach Golden - " Yes I am, reason why is because we want him to be safe. Concussions aren't to be taken lightly. So we are taking the best precautions we can take to insure that morris will be healthy and ready to go the following week"

Reporter - " So who will you're starting quarter going to be then?? "

Coach Golden - " We have three great young men waiting for their chance. Last week Ryan williams stepped into the place for the injured morris and we will have him do it again for us this week as well. "

Is williams ready to step into the starting role against a daunting defense??

Reporter - " Do you think you're ready for the starting role? and is this how you planned on gaining this role??"

Williams - " I think that I'm ready to step into the starting role and keep this offense clicking along. To answer you're question no it's not how I envisioned it. I'd rather had won the job instead of getting it because of an injury."

Reporter - "Going against Notre Dame, you know the rivalry history between these two schools right??" And how do you think your team will fare against them??"

Williams - " Yes, I know some of the long history that our school and notre dame share. Personally I think we can win this game if we stay focused and play mistake free football for 4 quarters."

Reporter - " Thank you for your time williams!"

Williams - " Anytime."
