Orangemen is coming off an impressive victory over Northwestern led by QB Ryan Nassib. Nassib completed 16 of 28 passes for 162 yards and threw for 3 TDs with no int. Nassib was impressive in 2011 throwing for 2685 yards and 22 TDs with only 9 ints.

Los Angeles (AP) - USC Trojans left for NY on Thur. afternoon and prepared for their 1st road game of the season. During 2011's success of the Trojans their was one stumble that haunted the season. USC traveled to Arizona St. with many of their 1st year starter and struggled.

With 2nd year starters, Hayes Pullard and Dion Bailey all commenting this week that they've learned from that mistake and ready to roll in NY this week, they vowed to play lights out.

USC and Syracuse engaged in a game of back and forth defense in the 1st quarter with Barkley throwing a pick in his 1st possession. The Orangemen defense and their ball control running game held the powerful USC offense at bay in the 1st quarter to no points. Orangemen RB Ameen Moore ran for 133 yards on 26 carries.

Marquise Lee scores his 1st of 2 TD on a deep post from Matt Barkley

USC then opened up the playbook in the 2nd quarter and it's easy when you have WR like Marquise Lee and Robert Woods. Barkley found Lee on a deep post route after a pump fake to Robert Woods. Barkley would drive the Trojans down the field on the next possession and find Lee in the corner of the endzone for a spectacular tip toe catch for his 2nd TD.

Syracuse wouldn't just lay down and quit as QB Ryan Nassib finds his star WR Alec Lemon on a deep go route. USC back up safety Drew McAllister misread the play and left Lemon wide opened. USC would go to a ground control game in the 3rd quarter as both Curtis McNeal and Silas Redd would carry the load. McNeal and Redd both scored on goaline TDs. Syracuse's Marcus Sales responded with a 45 yards TD catch from Nassib.

QB Matt Barkley would throw for 292 yards and 3 TDs

During the 4th quarter, as the Trojans were running the clock out with their ground game, Redd would run to day light on a 63 yard TD run. Redd now have rushed for over 100 yards in his 1st two game as a Trojan.

USC now prepares for their Pac-12 opener against a hated rival in Stanford. The men of Troy also escaped a trap game against the Syracuse Orangemen enroute to their national title dreams.

Washington shocked the NCAA nation with a big upset over #3 ranked LSU. Led by RB Jesse Callier's 3 TD performance he was able to help the Huskie hold on to a 14 to 3 2nd Qtr lead when QB Keith Price went down with an injury. LSU QB Mettenbreger struggled completing only 14 of his 37 passes and LSU ground game stalled rushing for only 60 yards

Jordan Wynn out at least 10 weeks

Salt Lake City (UT) - Jordan Wynn who was injured for majority of the season last year is injured once again. This time he suffered a torn tricep on his throwing arm.

Utah was enroute to a comfortable victory over rival Utah State in the 4th Qtr winning 50-0, yet Wynn was still in the game when he was sacked and injured. To what made Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham to make that decision to keep him in the game, no one will know but if their promising season comes crushing down on them he will have lots of questions to answer. Utah is picked to challenge USC for the Pac-12 south title.
