NCAA Committee Approves Conference Realignment

Indianapolis, IN- College football conferences are being realigned yet again. After all the changes these past few years with schools moving around the confrence presidents decided to do something about it. The 12 man committee voted this evening 10-2 to realign college football and make more sense of the conferences.

No president made a statement or answered questions as they left the meetings due to a gag order by Presient Mark Emmert. However President Emmert did say,

"Today is a great day for the fans of college football. No longer will you be confused on who is going where and how a school all the way on the west coast is playing in the east. Fan travel to away games has become easier and college football will be even more competive as a result."

Information has leaked, and to no ones suprise, that the President of University of Notre Dame, Rev. John Jenkins, was one of the two to vote against the realignment. If forced to join a confrence Notre Dame will lose its full payout deal with NBC. Meaning that the Fighting Irish will be forced tto split the money and air time with others in the confrence. It is unknown on who was the second to vote against the realignment.

As of now that is all that is known from the confrence however tomorrow there is a press confrence scheduled with all 12 presidents plus President Emmert. Emmert stated that all questions will be answered and the realignment shall be announced.
