Re: No More Brady - A Ryan Mallett Patriots Story (Madden 13)

Crowd Pleasers
TD Plunging! Ridley|Gronk with 2 TDs...

Cardinals 20 - PATRIOTS 44

Foxboro, MA - Welcome to New England Ryan Mallett. Mallett was able to shake his first game jitters and pulls out a near perfect day. Throwing his first 300 game of career, Ryan felt comfortable. When asked what was the difference today compared to last week, he said,

"Last week I felt like all eyes were on me as if I am Tom Brady. I'm not Tom Brady, I'm Ryan Mallett and I'm your quarterback. I stepped out today and decided to be Ryan Mallett. But without my team, I'm nothing. You should be talking with them, they're the ones that got us that win today."

Stevan Ridley stepped up to run the Patriots to this victory over the Cardinals as the Patriots would not be denied this week. They were able to walk away with their heads held high. From the first snap of the game it was all in the Patriots favor as Kyle Arrington was able to pick the first pass from John Skelton.

The Patriots picked up a total of 4 interceptions to go with their 4 sacks. The defense was basically a brick wall holding Beanie Wells to under 100 yards on the ground. Also big Gronk was able to haul in two TDs in this victory and was able to do his Gronk spike. There was absolutely nothing that could go wrong for the Patriots today....

Now onto the stats....

Re: No More Brady - A Ryan Mallett Patriots Story (Madden 13)

$$ Welker gets his PayDay $$

94.8 Million over 6 years

Foxboro, MA - Wes Welker had a lot of patience this offseason. Welker saw his fellow teammates all receiving their new contracts. He wanted to know where his was. He held out a lot in the beginning, but decided to just ride out the Franchise tender. To the New England fans, you will be seeing more Mallett to Welker passes for years to come. Hopefully they gel soon and Wes can be the go to guy once again for the team.

Here is the structure of his new contract:

2012 (Current Season) - $9.5 Million
2013 - 9.28 Million
2014 - 11.02 Million
2015 - 13.27 Million
2016 - 16.21 Million
2017 - 20.02 Million
2018 - 25.00 Million

To the Followers: Do you think this was a good deal for the Patriots?

Re: No More Brady - A Ryan Mallett Patriots Story (Madden 13)

2012 - Week #2

Back in Action - The Bills are looking forward to having Fred Jackson back on that field as he's healthy now and ready to get back to work.

Can A. Morris Rebound? - Alfred Morris lost his confidence, then the game as he fumbled 3 times in a 24-23 loss to the Rams.

Addicted To Yards - Anyone can see that Randy Moss was born to catch passes in the NFL. He's moved beyond Tim Brown on the career receiving yards list.

See Who's Tweetin'
@WingozEA - Dwight Freeney's already talking Super Bowl and the ink isn't even dry on his new Colts contract extension.
@MattMiller - Colts were willing to go above and beyond to re-sign Robert Mathis. Monumental signing.
@AdamSchefterEA - Big news in Atlanta as Atlanta re-sign tight end Tony Gonzalez.
@RossTuckerEA - HUGE re-signing by the Dolphins. Totally changes the landscape in the AFC East.
@Mark Schlereth - There's no good way to cover Randy Moss. Runs great routes and has great moves after the fact. #recordwatch
@SkipBaylessEA - Alfred Morris is front runner for LVP of the after 3 fumbles.
@SkipBayless - Can't say enough how HUGE it is to get Fred Jackson back on the field.
@MikeHillEA - It shouldn't come as a shock to hear the BenJarvus Green-Ellis is the AFC player of the week. Everybody knew Karlos Dansby was coming up with #AFC defensive player of the week this time around.
@SkipBaylessEA - Some of the thanks has to go to the defense that went up against Drew Brees. #NFCPoW
@RoFloEA - Fantasy owners, be sure to say thanks to Drew Brees -- or curse his name if you had to go H2H against him.
@RossTuckerEA - It's clear London Fletcher is capable of doing anything he wants on that field. #NFCPoW

I'm actually figuring out the whole Welker deal in my CCM too. I don't think he's worth anywhere close what your paying him later on unless your planning on trading him. Even Brady doesn't make that much. It looks like Fitzgerald only tops out around 20 at the end of his deal. Welker is like 31. I'd only be looking for like 4 years, maybe 10 a year tops. I mean he's been great for years and is a good asset but honestly, it just seems lucrative to pay a slot receiver that much money.

Re: No More Brady - A Ryan Mallett Patriots Story (Madden 13)

I would have even offered Welker a contract with Brady still here. I'm trying to keep Lloyd and Welker around for some time.

Re: No More Brady - A Ryan Mallett Patriots Story (Madden 13)

Alot of teams do it to an extent with older players, so they can release them before the last few years. I couldn't find a way to sign welker to a realistic contract (2-3 yrs, 23-30M total). I don't think any team would ever sign a reciever to a six year deal at age 31, especially after franchise tagging. BUT, good idea keeping him no matter the cash, have to have some current patriots starters for a pats dynasty lol
