D. Cunningham(#41) finds a seam and with some blockers in front of him he takes the stretch play to the end zone from 38 yards out, giving Idaho a 7-0 lead with 6:49 left in the first quarter. This was the first highlight of a very successful day for the running game.

A. Erickson(#19) gets behind the Idaho secondary and catches a perfectly thrown pass from S. Rutherford, tying the game at 7-7 mid way through the first quarter.

J. Veltung(#1) makes an acrobatic catch and uses his speed to get to pay dirt from 22 yards out, increasing the Vandals lead just before halftime 17-7.

J. Baker(#23) out runs the defenders to the corner of the end zone for a four yard touchdown with 5:32 left in the third quarter, further increasing Idaho's lead 24-7. Baker had the best day on the ground of any Idaho back this year, racking up 160 yards and a touchdown.

I. Battle(#6) takes a toss and beats the Vandal's defense to the edge for a 14 yard touchdown, closing the gap on the Vandal's lead at 27-14. Texas State's run game was clicking all day, but they had to pass to keep up with the Vandals.

As the Vandals were going in to score, D. Cunningham fumble the ball outside of the one yard line and M. LaGrone(#80) recovers the fumble and has just enough to get into the end zone, scoring the final points in a 37-14 Idaho win. This play really expresses how Idaho's day went, they just seem to have the ball roll their way all day.

Thanks for following.

I don't think they were ranked very high going into the season, but if they get winning the will quickly climb the top 25.

Game Notes
Louisiana Tech looks to get their first conference win against Idaho, but the Vandals have been playing very good lately so it may be tougher then LA Tech fans hope. The Vandals aren't the better team on paper, but have to favored in this one because of their perfect conference record.

Idaho 35 Louisiana Tech 21

J. Baker(#23) breaks into open field and runs away from the defense on this 94 yard touchdown on the Vandals first drive, 7-0 Idaho. Baker once again continues to carry this rush offense on his back, racking up over 200 yards. He would later get injured and the running game wasn't the same.

D. Gru(#85) celebrates after scoring on a 46 yard touchdown pass from C. Cameron, narrowing the Vandals lead 10-7.

M. Scott(#18) catches the ball and turns up field, having just enough speed to split the safeties, scoring a 13 yard touchdown with 1:19 left in the first. This touchdown closed out the explosive first quarter for Idaho, with them leading 17-7, the game would get a lot tougher for them after this.

Q. Patton(#4) catches a long bomb from C. Cameron and is off to the races, scoring from 72 yards out, pulling the Bulldogs closer at 20-14 Idaho.

Q. Patton(#4) catches a 17 yard pass in the back of the end zone, giving the Bulldogs their first lead and one that they wouldn't give up for the rest of the game, 20-21 Louisiana Tech.

Q. Patton(#4) once again gets behind the Vandals defense for another 72 yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter, further increasing the Bulldogs lead at 20-28. Patton exploded in the second half on this Idaho defense and finished a career day with 191 yards and three touchdowns.

C. Cameron throws a strike to M. White(#7) in the back of the end zone for a 11 yard touchdown and a 20-35 Louisiana Tech lead with just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter.

M. Trotter(#88) fills in for the injured M. Scott and shows the big play ability of this offense with this 31 yard touchdown on fourth down. This was the final score of a 28-35 Louisiana Tech win.

Yea I gave them good field position with all the turnovers I had. Hopefully we will get back on track against San Jose State, really want to meet that 8 win goal and hopefully get a head coach job offer.
