Re: Jacksonville Jaguars: All In (Madden 13)

Jaguars Look Dominant on Both Sides of the Ball
Crush Vikings 31-6 in season opener

The Jags' D looked strong in holding AP to just 61 yards on the ground

2012 Regular Season: Week 1
Minneapolis, MN (AP)

The Jaguars had no trouble in making a statement against the Vikings, as Jacksonville dominated in all phases of the game.

With an armed running attack of HBs Rashad Jennings and Steve Slaton, as well as bruising QB Tim Tebow, the Jags ran for nearly 200 yards while Blaine Gabbert added 197 yards and 2 TDs through the air.

There was no Wildcat for Tim Tebow, meaning Tebow and Gabbert were never on the field at the same time, but they did put Tebow in positions to succeed, such as short yardage and goal line situations. He looked good on his 13 downs played with a mix of play actions and run-pass options.

Defensively, Jacksonville held Adrian Peterson to just 61 yards on the ground, despite his 23 carries, and also held Christian Ponder to 117 yards passing. New CB Marcus Trufant started his first season with the Jags in a strong sense, picking off Ponder in the second quarter.

Hopefully this game is a good sign of things to come for Jacksonville.

Blaine Gabbert was a dud in this game, throwing for just 117 yards; he was also sacked 5 times

2012 Regular Season: Week 2
Jacksonville, FL (AP)

The Jaguars get a W with a sloppy win over the Houston Texans, rising to 2-0 and dropping the Texans to a 0-2 record. LB Paul Posluszny had a pick-six to open up the game and RS Trindon Holliday added a 75 yard punt return for Jacksonville's two touchdowns of the game.

The Texans' D kept the Jags passing game in check, limiting Blaine Gabbert to just 117 yards on 12 of 31 attempts. Luckily, the Jaguars' defense played decent enough to hold Houston to 17 points.

Midway through Gabbert's dismal game, fans chanted for Tim Tebow, but Head Coach Mike Mularkey kept Gabbert in, absent the 13 plays that Tebow was in for. Tebow failed to score in front of the home team and threw an interception in the fourth quarter.

2012 Regular Season: Week 3

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars: All In (Madden 13)

Bengals Down Jaguars, 31-27
Gabbert throws for nearly 300 yards in losing effort

The "Red Rifle" connected with A.J. Green for 3 TDs

2012 Regular Season: Week 4
Jacksonville, FL (AP)

The one game where Gabbert puts up high passing yards, just so happens to be the game where the defense falters. Jacksonville allowed Bengals' QB Andy Dalton to throw for 335 yards and 3 TDs - all to WR A.J. Green

CB Rashean Mathis had a tough outing guarding Green, as signs of age may be flourishing.

Jacksonville's run defense was superb, allowing just 67 rushing yards, but it was not enough to get the W.

CINCINNATI BENGALS (2-2)
67 Rushing Yards
316 Passing Yards
3 Sacks
2 Interceptions

QB Andy Dalton: 26/35, 330 Yds, 3 TDs, 2 INTs

WR Mohamed Sanu: 4 Rec, 60 Yds
DE Carlos Dunlap: 2 Sacks
LB Thomas Howard: 8 Tackles
FS Reggie Nelson: 2 INTs

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (2-2)
111 Rushing Yards
268 Passing Yards
2 Sacks
2 Interceptions

QB Blaine Gabbert: 16/32, 296 Yds, 2 TDs, 2 INTs
QB Tim Tebow: 12 Downs Played; 1/3, 0 Yds; 4 Car, 17 Yds, 1 TD
HB Rashad Jennings: 16 Car, 55 Yds
WR Victor Cruz: 5 Rec, 94 Yds
WR Laurent Robinson: 3 Rec, 75 Yds
TE Mike Williams: 47 Yd Rec for TD
