Cutler Throws Six Interceptions As Titans Spoil His Nashville Homecoming

Titans 51, Bears 6

Nashville, TN - Jay Cutler is one of the most scrutinized quarterbacks to ever have played in the NFL.

After his performance against the Tennessee Titans, things may only get worse for him. The Chicago Bears fell 51-6 in his first game back in Nashville since playing for the University of Vanderbilt.

Cutler threw six interceptions. Things were even worse for the Bears in other areas.

Matt Forte ran for just four yards on ten carries, and the Bears were held to six total rushing yards, the same amount of first downs they converted. As a a matter of fact, the Bears held the ball for only 14:59 of the game, a second less than a full quarter.

The Titans were once again in full control of the game, amassing 516 total yards of offense, converting 23 first downs, and rushing for 253 yards as a team.

Chris Johnson accounted for most of that once again, rushing for 163 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.

DeSean Jackson once again had a huge game, catching 5 passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Nate Washington added nine catches for 95 yards, and Kenny Britt brought in six of his own catches for 86 yards.

Jake Locker had yet another somewhat disappointing performance, going 26-36 passing for 286 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He somewhat made up for it by rushing for 53 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.

With the Bears now at 4-4, questions are now arising as to whether or not Cutler should be benched in favor of Jason Campbell. Only time will tell if head coach Lovie Smith decides to pull the plug on the embattled Cutler.

Re: Titan-ing Up - Tennessee Titans (Madden 13)

For anyone who actually reads this, I'm going to update later today. Gonna include a Mid-Season Summary report in the next post, and have the post above be it's own post.

Re: Titan-ing Up - Tennessee Titans (Madden 13)

Well with Hurricane Sandy coming in, I probably will lose power. Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst at this point. I'll definitely be back once power restores, but if I don't lose power, expect an update Wednesday.

Re: Titan-ing Up - Tennessee Titans (Madden 13)

So, Hurricane Sandy knocked out my power for all of 10 minutes...at the most at a time. Power went on and off at least 7 times. But I'm alive. Update coming later today.

Re: Titan-ing Up - Tennessee Titans (Madden 13)

Main Mid-Season Storylines:

The Fall of the AFC North

Usually, the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers are shoe-ins when it comes to playoff contention. However, so far this year, that has not been the case. With both teams sitting atop the AFC North at 3-5, the division as a whole now looks weaker than it has since the division realignment. While it is possible for them to win their remaining eight games, it's highly unlikely at this point that either team will finish above .500, although at least one of them will make the playoffs as the division winners.

Rookie QBs Thriving
Four rookie quarterbacks, Robert Griffin III of the Washington Redskins, Andrew Luck of the Indianapolis Colts, Ryan Tannehill of the Miami Dolphins, and Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks, have gotten off to great starts so far in their rookie campaigns.

Luck, the No. 1 overall selection in this April's past draft, has lead the Colts to a 5-3 record, and they are right in the thick of the AFC Wild Card Race. On the season, Lick is somewhat struggling statistically, as he's gone 187-of-304 for 2409 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions, but it hasn't really impeded on the teams success, which he is a big part of.

RGIII, the No. 2 overall selection, has fared much better. A front-runner for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, He's lead the Redskins to a 6-3 record, with them just a half game behind Philadelphia. Griffin has thrown for 14 touchdowns and just six interceptions on the season.

Tannehill has lead the Dolphins to a 5-3 record, just a game behind the New England Patriots, and looks to be the long term answer in Miami. He's thrown for 1723 yards, 12 touchdowns, and just five interceptions.

To round out the group, Wilson has the Seahawks on cruise control. With a 7-2 record, Wilson and company are at the top of the NFC. He's thrown for 2061 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions on the year, and looks to walk right into the playoffs at this point.

Most Surprising Team: Seahawks (7-2)

Most Disappointing Team: Ravens (3-5)

5 Coaches on the Hot Seat

Pat Shurmur, Browns (2-7)

Leslie Frazier, Vikings (2-7)

Rex Ryan, Jets (2-6)

John Fox, Broncos (2-6)

Marvin Lewis, Bengals (2-6)

Re: Titan-ing Up - Tennessee Titans (Madden 13)

I wish I could follow, but I am so into CJ's Titans dynasty that I can't do both. Good luck though!

You can't follow both why exactly?
