Re: College Football Relegation (NCAA 2013)

I haven't been able to check it out yet, but can you set up a promo/releg dynasty with online single player? What ate the main differences compared to offline?

Yes you can, that is how I am doing it. You will get prompted for conference changes at the end of the offseason. Here is a good thread that has some of the differences between online and offline dynasties.

I prefer online because I have a solid internet connection (20mbs/5mbs), I like being able to recruit from the internet, I do not resim results if a top team gets upset, I love the data export files form the website. The one major thing I do not like though is the inability to choose you opponents uniforms like you can in an offline dynasty.

Re: College Football Relegation (NCAA 2013)

2015 Louisville Cardinals
PRESEASON THOUGHTS
We were able to pull in the #36 ranked recruiting class this year with the average player coming in rated at 66.59, this is almost the same level of talent we brought in last offseason and if we can keep this up we should be a mainstay in the Top 25 in a couple of seasons. This class consisted of 22 players to replace many departing seniors. Even though we lost a lot of starting talent I think we should finished better this year than last and I think 7 or 8 wins is possible. Overall we are not as good talent wise as last year but we do have a pocket passer this year instead of a scrambler which better fits with our scheme. With 35 freshman on the team, to say we are young would be an understatement but I still think we should have a winning season and start to get this program going in the right direction. We still have Texas on the schedule as a cross division game but we did get to rotate out TCU for Baylor.

SEASON THOUGHTS
We upset #7 Texas 34-27 on our way to a 6-1 start on the year. I was suprised as I was hoping to be a game over .500 at that point. It appears we should be able to reach our goal of 8 wins this season pretty easily. This is the last year of the initial two year contract I signed when I took over. I do not plan on making a lateral move in the short term but if fallen power house school comes calling I might be enticed to leave.

After getting out to a soild start we dropped games to Kansas State and Oklahoma before rebounding against New Mexico to enter our game against #3 Oklahoma State at 7-3 on the year and ranked #25 in the AP poll.

We were able to upset the Cowboys 24-21 as we kicked a 42 yard field goal with 0:01 left in the game. On our last play we ran a simple dive play but got a holding call with 0:05 left in the game. Instead of pushing us back they declined the penalty and we were able to convert the shorter field goal. Our kicker has the leg to have pushed through the 52 yarder if needed but luckily it did not come to that.

Heading into the conference championship weekend Notre Dame has already secured their place in the National Championship game. #2 Wisconsin is the only other unbeaten team in the country but must beat #23 Northwestern to get in. The Badgers won the National Championship in 2012 and the past two years they had a spot locked up in the game if they won the Big 10 Championship game. Last year they lost to Iowa and the year before they lost to Michigan State.

Notre Dame destroyed Wisconsin 41-13 to capture their second National Championship in the last three years. We played against last years National Title game loser Iowa in the Insight.com Bowl. We entered the second half down 18 and just could not stop the Hawkeyes from moving the ball and lost the game 27-38 to finish the year 9-4 overall.

JOB NEWS
Following the season I signed a 4 year extension with Louisville. The job market this season was extremely slim with only 18 jobs turning over and of those North Carolina, Arizona State, Boston College and Rutgers were highest profile.

RELEGATION NEWS
Tier 1 - Mountain West Champion Colorado State (10-3, 6-1) will replace East Carolina (2-10, 1-7) in the Big East.
Tier 2 - Sun Belt Champion Troy (9-4, 6-1) will replace Bowling Green (3-9, 1-6) in Conference USA.
Realign - Western Kentucky, from the MAC, will switch spots with Bowling Green in the Sun Belt.
Realign - UL Lafayette, from Conference USA, will switch spots with East Carolina in the Mountain West.

CAREER REVIEW
I coached two years at UALR as the offensive coordinator running up a 16-10 record. I was offered the job coaching Louisville in the Big 12. Before my arrival the Cardinals were 10-15 overall (which was 83rd at that time). My first contract was for two season and in that time I went 15-10 (6-6 then 9-4) which was good enough to get me a four year extension.

Re: College Football Relegation (NCAA 2013)

2016 Louisville Cardinals
PRESEASON THOUGHTS
I signed a 4 year extension with Louisville before the season. When I arrived we were a 2* program and now we at 4*'s. This made the contract a little tougher terms wise but with four season I think 70% of the goals should be obtainable. We pulled in the #28 ranked recruiting class this year which consisted of 16 players who's average overall was 69.44. Our conference schedule this season is favorable as we dropped Texas and play cross division games against Baylor and Kansas. With JR(RS) QB Jesse Richardson (who was the #2 QB recruit in the nation back in 2013) returning to lead the offense I think we should win 9 games this year and with some luck we might reach 10 for the first time in my career. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State both appear to be strong again this year so I do not think we will make it to the Big 12 Championship game.

SEASON THOUGHTS
Following the regular season #1 Clemson (13-0) won the ACC while #2 Iowa (12-1) won the Big 10. #3 Alabama (11-2) won the SEC and managed to jump Iowa in the coaches poll and tied them in the BCS at .992. The Crimson Tide got the nod to play in the Natioanl Championship game over the Hawkeyes.

Alabama beat Clemson 31-26 to win the BCS National Championship game. The polls still had Clemson ranked in the top spot as they were the only major school in the country with only one loss on the year.

We started the season out going 5-0 and climbed all the way to #10 in the country before losing three of our next four. We finished tied for fourth in the Big 12 Heartland divison and 6th overall in conference with a record of 9-4 overall and 5-4 in league play. We did win our first bowl game defeating a scrappy Purdue team in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. We jumped out to a quick lead in the second half only to see Boilermarkers pull within three points in the fourth quarter before we were able to pull away for good. JR(RS) QB Jesse Richardson led the nation in passing yards this year with 3686, 30 tds to only 4 ints and set a new national record for passing effiency at 192.2. Hopefully he will decide to return to school for his senior year but I am having serious doubts. This season did not turn out as good as I had hoped even though we did win 9 games. We lost out #1 WR Garry Lowery during the second game of the year and a few key defensive starters through out the season. Overall I am pleased with the direction the program is going in and I think we should be competing for a league title in the next couple of years.

JOB NEWS
This was another year where no major job openings occured. There were a handful of lower tier BCS jobs (Duke, Texas Tech) but the closet thing to a major opening was UCLA.

RELEGATION NEWS
Tier 1 - Mountain West Champion UL Lafayette (11-2, 6-1) will replace San Diego State (4-8, 3-5) in the Big East.
Tier 2 - Sun Belt Champion Western Kentucky (10-3, 6-1) will replace ECU (0-12, 0-7) in Conference USA.
Tier 2 - WAC Champion New Mexico (10-3, 6-1) will replace Hawaii (2-10, 0-7) in the Mountain West.

CAREER REVIEW
I coached two years at UALR as the offensive coordinator running up a 16-10 record. I was offered the job coaching Louisville in the Big 12. Before my arrival the Cardinals were 10-15 overall (which was 83rd at that time). I just finished my thrid season with the Cardinals and my overall record is now 24-14 with back to back 9-4 marks.

Re: College Football Relegation (NCAA 2013)

2017 Louisville Cardinals
PRESEASON THOUGHTS
QB Jesse Richardson returned for his senior season which was very good as we were ill prepared to replace him this year. We brought in an amazing recruiting class that consisted of 18 player who's average overall rating was 72. We pulled in an athlete Roger Rust (6'1, 225lbs, 86 spd, 86 agl, 90 acc, 66 awr, 80 car, 80 cth, 87 thp, 82 tha) from Dillon, MT. Rust came in at 82 overall at quarterback which made him the best incoming recruit in the nation at his position. He will redshirt this year and hopefully we will have him starting for four years. In this class we also brought in WR Brain Woods (81 ovr) who will be the #3 wide out this year and DE Dominique Cole (81 ovr) who will start as a true freshman at LE. We are still weak on defense (in game rating of only 80) this year but I think we have turned the corner and should start competing for the Big 12 Heartland division championship.

SEASON THOUGHTS
Entering the last game of the year against rival Cincinnati we were tied with Oklahoma in the Heartland divsion at 6-2 in conference. We beat the Bearcats to secure our first 10 win season but the Sooners beat Oklahoma State 40-37 in overtime to win the divison. In the Praire TCU and Texas both entered the final game of the year at 6-2 in conference as the Longhorns got blown out 10-31 and now TCU and Oklahoma will play for the Big 12 Championsip. Auburn beat previously unbeaten Alabama 24-28.

Conference Championship weekend features the following games: #1 Iowa (12-0) vs #2 Wisconsin (11-1), #3 Oklahoma (9-3) vs #20 TCU (8-4) and #5 Alabama (11-1) vs Tennessee (8-4). We are ranked #4 in the country at 10-2 overall. With some luck this weekend we actually have an outside chance of making it into the National Championship game.

#1 Wisconsin (12-1), #2 Oklahoma (10-3), and #5 Alabama (12-1) won there conference championship games. Alabama's loss in the final week of the regular season to #10 Auburn really killed them as Auburn (9-3) jumped in front of them by one spots in the polls and the Crimson Tide just did not have enough time to climb back into one of the top 2 spots.

We finished the regular season 10-2 overall and #3 in the nation with QB Jesse Richardson winning the Heisman Trophy as he jumped Iowa QB Andy Hawkins the final week of the year as the Hawkeyes so beaten by Wisconsin 36-17 in the Big 10 Championship game. Jesse broke his NCAA record for pass effiency from last year at 197.0 while leading the nation throwing for 4381 yards, 49 tds to 6 ints and completed 72% of this passes in the regular season. We dominated Pac-12 Champion #13 Boise State (10-4) in the Rose Bowl winning the game 44-14. I do not think I have ever had a game where it seemed like the other team just could not do anything right and they actually picked me off twice because I was hell bent on trying to get Richardson 50 td passes on the year.

Oklahoma (11-3) beat Wisconsin (12-2) 28-21 to win the National Championship. Alabama (13-1) finished #2 in the country as they beat my old team UALR (11-2) 37-17 in the Sugar Bowl. The Trojans had a great season winning the Sun Belt, finishing #7 in the nation with major wins against Oregon and Florida and their losses came to Alabama and Auburn.

JOB NEWS
Before advancing to the offseason I did a quick list of possible job openings and noticed Arkansas job had a good possibility of coming open. I am from Arkansas and have loved three teams since I started watching football back in the late 80's. The Hogs, the Fighting Irish and the Raiders. I have never started a dynasty (since I start playing the series on NCAA 98) with either Arkansas or Notre Dame because taking the job that way just did not seem right to me. I wanted to earn it and be rewarded with one of those jobs. With the success finishing out the year strong and a #3 national ranking my in season prestige had risen to B so I figured I might get some decent offers. It appeared national schools Tennesee, Washington and Michigan would all hire new coaches this year but the Razorbacks coach had an approval rating of 49 so there was an outside chance they might give him and extension after going 8-5 this year. When I advanced to the coaching carosuel the first job waiting on me was my beloved Hogs with a 3 year offer!! Needless to say I am on my way to do battle in the SEC West. I have the Cardinals loaded with what should be a top 10 recruiting class coming in and I think the program should be strong for many years to come.

RELEGATION NEWS
Tier 1 - Mountain West Champion Nevada (12-1, 6-1) will replace Fresno State (4-7, 2-6) in the Big East.
Tier 2 - Sun Belt Champion UALR (11-2, 7-0) will replace Buffalo (1-11, 1-6) in Conference USA.
Tier 2 - WAC Champion Hawaii (9-4, 6-1) will replace North Texas (2-10, 1-6) in the Mountain West.

CAREER REVIEW
I coached two years at UALR as the offensive coordinator running up a 16-10 record. Louisville offered me a head coaching job in the Big 12 which I was extremely happy to take. Before my arrival the Cardinals were 10-15 overall (which was 83rd at that time). I coached there for 4 seasons and ammased 35-16 record winning 29 games in my final three years were we had the 10th highest winning precentage in the nation over that stretch. The pinicale came in 2017 when we finished #3 in the country at 11-2. Following that successful year I took over the head coaching job for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
