Re: Pain Is Temporary, Glory Is Forever (A NCAA 11 Football Dynasty)
OFF SEASON NEWS
March 30th, 2012
The Sophomore Season had it's hardships but the team managed to band together to clinch another Championship. The light schedule may have led to a inflated ranking as a bowl match against the Elite proved how much farther this football programs has to come.
The 2nd Season saw Coach Cummings and his crew active on the recruiting front pulling in the NCAA's 5th best class with 13 3 Star Recruits and 8 2 Star recruits. These recruits will become the future stars of the school in the years to come.
The team also said farewell to a true campus legend in HB Holden Morales. In his senior year, Morales toppled many of the school's previous Half Back records including Career Yards Rushing and Rushing Touchdowns. Morales was also a triple award winner at the NCAA Awards Banquet, winning the Walker, Walter Camp and Maxwell award. Morales will go on to play professional football in the NFL as many scouts have predicted him to go late in the 1st round.
Besides Morales, there was not a lot of recognition on the offensive side for the team, but there was plenty of accolades on the defensive side. Including Junior CB Cameron Wade coming in 2nd in Thorne voting. Many players on the defensive side were honored with Freshman and 1st Team All-Star honors.
