Re: Jon Gruden in St. Louis (M13)

Quarterly (4 Game) Progress 1/4

1-3

The St. Louis Rams under new head coach Jon Gruden are off to a 1-3 start. This bad start is mainly because they have no offense and make too many bad decisions. There defense has been playing well when healthy being in the top 10 in both Sacks and Interceptions. Besides the Seattle game, every game has been close and they could be sitting here 3-1 instead of 1-3 if the offense can get going.

1,171 Total Offensive Yards (31st)
802 Passing Yards (28th)
369 Rushing Yards (27th)

1,505 Total Offensive Yards Allowed (20th)
1,108 Passing Yards Allowed (29th)
397 Rushing Yards Allowed (6th)
13 Sacks (T2nd) | 7 Interceptions (T3rd) | 1 Fumble Recovery (T31st)

Week 5

Rams Still Can't Win

The Rams were the clear winners said ESPN Analysts yet they still lost 20-13. The Rams got back 2 key players, DT Shaun Smith and rookie CB Janoris Jenkins. Jenkins had an astounding rookie debut with 3 interceptions. Yet the Rams still lost! Who is to blame? QB Sam Bradford. Completing only 45% of his passes with 4 interceptions, Bradford took away multiple scoring drives the Rams could of had to make this a blowout. Gruden needs to get his offense under control.

Scouts are very high on Tennessee TE Jason Ashley. They believe his skills will translate very well to the pro game.

Week 6

Dolphins Come Out Ontop 20-17

What a surprise; another game lost due to Sam Bradford throwing an interception in the last minute to win. Does St. Louis need a QB change? Rookie QB Austin Davis played well in the Pre-Season, more consistent anyways. The Rams left Miami with a 20-17 loss. HB Reggie Bush lit it up running for 160 yards averaging 5 yards per carry. The Rams have only had one decent running game all season. Hopefully the Rams can make it through two more weeks then rethink their Gameplan on a much needed bye week.

LE Chris Long suffered a Partial PCL Tear. He won't return until sometime after the bye week.

Arkansas DE Traevon Sykes was a nightmare to contain this week against Texas A&M. He picked up 4 sacks and dominated the line of scrimmage all day.

Boston College CB Devian Mack helped push the Eagles past the NC State Wolfpack by returning an interception for a touchdown.

The St. Louis Rams resigned WR Brandon Gibson to a 4 year deal worth $5M.

Re: Jon Gruden in St. Louis (M13)

Wasn't able to get 4 games done like I planned too. But I will try to wrap up Season 1 by Sunday and start Season 2 Monday evening or Tuesday.

Will be mostly boring until Season 3 when Kurt Warner returns.

By the way, how can I post box scores on my iPhone? Anybody have a fix on getting it to copy the code?

Week 7

Packers Leave St. Louis with 37-23 Win

Don't let the final score fool you. It was actually 21-20 at halftime and the Rams got 2 picks off of Rodgers in the second half and got 4 sacks. The Rams were all set for a comeback but they were just too far behind. The 1-6 Rams are actually playing like a 5-2 or 6-1 team, they just can't pull off the much needed comebacks.

SS Darian Stewart suffered an Adominal Tear that will keep him out for 6 weeks.

In a big game against Ole Miss, Alabama QB Konnor Shepard threw 3 interceptions, which now have scouts questioning his big-game ability.

Week 8

Rams are 1-7 at Mid-Season

111.6 QBR | 22-33 268 Yds 2TD --- These aren't the stats of Tom Brady, but Sam Bradford. Despite losing 24-17, Bradford threw 0 interceptions, only his second game this season without throwing a pick, and a completion % of 66, only his 3rd game this season having a % higher than 50. Are things going to be on the right track after their bye week? Its doubtful that the Rams are playoff potential, but that doesn't mean they should give up now.

Oregon HB Armani Gray was a big-game hunter this week, ripping off 217 yards against the Wildcats.

Re: Jon Gruden in St. Louis (M13)

Quarterly (4 Game) Progress 2/4

1-7

At a 1-7 record and current 6 game losing streaks, the Rams don't have much to look forward too this season. The offense has been terrible having only 11 touchdowns in 8 games, only 1 from rushing. The defense has been mediocre to borderline terrible as well if you take away the sacks and interceptions. They did finish the last game against the Patriots with a little spark even though they lost the game. With the upcoming final 8 games, the Rams do have a few games that could be won. Don't except anything special but the Rams will definitely have more than just 1 win at the end of the season.

2,318 Total Offensive Yards (28th)
1,674 Total Passing Yards (20th)
644 Total Rushing Yards (31st)
33% 3rd Down Conversion (19th)

3,223 Total Offensive Yards Allowed (31st)
2,219 Total Passing Yards Allowed (31st)
1,004 Total Rushing Yards Allowed (24th)
21 Sacks (3rd) | 14 Interceptions (2nd) | 1 Fumble Recovery (31st)
