Return To Glory: A Miami Dolphins CCM (Madden 13)

A New Era in Miami

Miami, FL-The Miami Dolphins have hired, former Blue Mountain State quarterback, Alex Moran to be the new head coach of the Dolphins. He will look to continue Miami's good finish to the end of last season. It will not be easy though as he is taking over a poor team. Most experts expect the the Dolphins to finish last in the AFC East.

Re: Return To Glory: A Miami Dolphins CCM (Madden 13)

Preseason Recap

The main focus of the preseason for the Dolphins was to have Ryan Tannehill get comfortable in the NFL. Tannehill look very impressive in the games. He really connected with Brian Hartline and Davone Bess. Not all things were great as Reggie Bush picked up an injury and is out for the first 4 weeks of the season. Also Richie Incognito is out for 2 weeks and Nate Garner is out for 5 weeks. The Dolphins will hope to build on a 3-1 preseason.

Preseason Transactions
Miami Cuts: WR Marlon Moore, WR Legedu Naanee, WR Anthony Armstrong, TE John Denney, TE Jeron Mastrud, DT Andre Fuellen, CB De'Andre Presley, SS Anderson Russell, WR Richard Matthews

Miami Signs: CB Alphonso Smith, RT Brandon Keith, RG Howard Barbieri, WR Dezmon Briscoe, WR Terrell Owens

2012 Team Outlook

Quarterback-Ryan Tannehill will look to prove he was worthy of being taken with the #8 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Running Back-Reggie Bush would be the starter but he picked up an injury in preseason. Daniel Thomas and Lamar Miller will share the carries until Bush is fully healthy.

Wide Recievers-One of the weak spots on the Dolphins team. Look for Terrell Owens and Brian Hartline to be out wide and Davone Bess to be in the slot.

Tight End-Michael Egnew has been very impressive so far and has earned the starting job. The third round pick will look to start off his carrer with a bang.

Offensive Line-Jake Long leads this group and hopefully injuries will not continue to bite the oline the rest of the year

Defensive End-Cameron Wake will look to have another great season after his 8.5 sacks last season. Jarod Odrick will look to improve on his 6 sacks last season.

Defensive Tackle-Randy Starks and Paul Soliai will clog up the middle for the Dolphins.

Linebackers-Karlos Dansby will look to have a moster season and prove he was worth the money or he and his giant contract could be out of Miami very soon. Koa Misi and Kevin Burnett will be on the sides of Karlos.

Cornerbacks-Sean Smith is now the main guy after the Dolphins traded Vontae Davis to the Colts. Richard Marshall will be on the other side. Alphonso Smith will be the nickle back.

Safties-Reshad Jones and Chris Clemons will look to prove they deserve to be in Miami. These two could be replaced next year.

Kicker-Dan Carpenter will handle the kicking for the 5th straight season.

Punter-Brandon Fields will handle the punting duties for 6th straight season.

Return Man-Rookie Marcus Thigpen will return kickoffs and punts for the Dolphins.

Game Notes

The Dolphins head to Houston to take on the defending AFC South champions the Houston Texans. Ryan Tannehill will look to build on his impressive preseason and show the world he is not a normal rookie quarterback. Ryan will have to do more than head coach Alex Moran wants him to do because Reggie Bush and Richie Incognito are both out for the game. Houston will look to throw all over Miami's secondary as there is probably nobody on Miami who can cover Andre Johnson. Arian Foster will be a workhorse for Houston. Houston is also dealing with injuries as stud lineback Brian Cushing is out for 3 weeks. Houston is a 10 point favorite over the Phins.

Wow, with those injuries how do you expect on putting together a good run game against the Texans?

I'm hoping I can get lucky with a few big runs by Lamar Miller especially because I don't think there is anyway Daniel Thomas can do anything. It is going to be a very tough game to win but I like a challenge. Thanks for following.

Re: Return To Glory: A Miami Dolphins CCM (Madden 13)

Dolphins Defence Dominates Texans in Season Opener

The season started in grand style for the Dolphins as they dismantled the Texans 22-3 in Houston. On the very first play of the game Karlos Dansby forced Arian Foster to fumble. Sean Smith picked up the fumble and ran it into the endzone to give the Dolphins a quick 7-0 lead in the first 10 seconds. The defence continued their dominance on the next drive as Sean Smith intercepted Matt Schaub in the endzone. The defence held Arian Foster to 12 yards on 16 carries in the first half. Andre Johnson only burned the defence one time. It would have been a touchdown but Nolan Carroll ran him down. The defence would hold the Texans to a field goal on the drive.

The Dolphins offence struggled greatly in the first half until their two minute drill to end the first half. Ryan Tannehill hit Davone Bess on a 40 yard play to put the Dolphins in field goal range. Then on the next play Tannehill hit Egnew on a pass to get down to the two yard line. Daniel Thomas would punch it in for a touchdown and would give the Dolphins a 17-3 lead going into halftime.

The defence continued to dominated the game in the second half. They needed to because the offence continued to play poorly. The Texans didn't cross midfield in the second half. The defence was finally rewarded when they got a safety in the 4th quarter to seal the victory for the Dolphins.

Next week the 1-0 Dolphins will play the 0-1 Oakland Raiders in Miami. The 0-1 Houston Texans will travel to Jacksonville to take on the 1-0 Jaguars.
