Any chance to start seeing box scores with these recaps? I'm a stats guy and love numbers...

For sure! I started this thread mid-way through the season and really wanted to get to a fresh start. I will start some updates soon with stats and other things.

Thanks for following along.

Re: Hairy, Loud and Extremely Obnoxious - Rob Ryan's Coaching Career

2016 Preview
2015 was an amazing season with many twists and turns. From Tebow going to the Chiefs to the Browns winning the Super Bowl and everything in between! It is hard to imagine, but 2016 may prove to be even more crazy.

Contenders
The Browns are the defending Super Bowl Champs and are going into a contract year for QB, Mark Mallett. Don't think the Browns will waste any time re-signing their franchise QB. On the other hand, they are also under some heavy contracts between Josh Gordon, Trent Richardson and Ndamakong Suh.

They now have one of the best linebacker corps in the NFL with Luke Kuechly, Tanner Bailey, Donald Butler, Jazz Olsen and James Laurinaitis. The D-Line is moving to a heavier 3-4 look but they are athletic and look to wreak havoc. The defensive backfield has Shutdown CB, Joe Haden but otherwise they are lacking. Dominique Rogers-Cromartie had a decent year but has also turned 30.

Cleveland picked up more support to back-up Mark Mallet in Colin Kaepernick and Sam Bradford. Trent Richardson is looking to have his 4th straight 1000 yard season... and then you have Josh Gordon. The amazing WR has set records almost every year and has set his sights on breaking the TD record he tied during his rookie season.

The Broncos are a team with playmakers almost everywhere. Jake Locker is now the QB and Darren McFadden is hoping to improve on his 1186, 9 TD campaign of 2015. At WR, the Broncos are among the best in the league with Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas with Mohamed Massaquoi somehow staying relevant.

On defense they are led by veteran LB, Von Miller and DE Chris Clemons. While this side of the ball is aging in Denver, they are a team to be respected as they held teams to under 20 PPG last year.

They have been patient in Jacksonville... now they are reaping the rewards of cap space. This is the team many are picking to win the Super Bowl this season. Here is a quick breakdown of their top players...
97 OVR - DeMarcus Ware (OLB)
96 OVR - Josh Scobee (K)
96 OVR - Maurice Jones-Drew (HB)
95 OVR - Andrew Whitworth (LT)
93 OVR - Brandon Mebane (DT)
92 OVR - Lincoln Anderson (P)

The bad part is that they average 33 years of age among the top-6 players and are still planning on Blaine Gabbert being the QB this season. Could be a wild season for JVille.

Once again, one of the best teams in the NFL, they are ready to contend for another Super Bowl. The only question is whether age is going to start catching up with them now that most of their key players are 30 or older.

Tom Brady is entering the twilight of his career. Gronk is still a beast to deal with, but this team needs to win this season if they have any hopes of doing it soon. They are too old at QB and if anything happens to Brady - this season is over. Kris Anguiano is the back-up... Exactly.

Start Planning For Next Year
This team has lost almost everything they once had. Cutler - gone. Urlacher - gone. Lovie Smith - gone. Now they have Robb Bell at QB and Brandon Marshall at WR. That is about all that can be said for Chicago who used their #6 Overall pick on TE, Blake Geiger out of Ohio State. This team should be planning another Top 10 Selection for 2017.

The Bills signed an aging DeAngelo Williams to a three-year deal. They don't have a QB with an OVR above 77. Their best WR is a now 30 year old Stevie Johnson. Mario Williams has only one season with more than 6 sacks in the past four years. This team could be one of the worst in the league.

They haven't had the same starting QB over the span of two seasons since 2012. Now they are switching again from Jason Campbell to Carson Palmer. This team is a bad joke and the fans deserve better. The Cardinals are rumored to be for sale but nothing has been confirmed. Larry Fitzgerald wants out but they refuse to part ways.

The Cowboys are terrible. They still have the wonderful choke artist, Tony Romo at QB but otherwise they have let everyone else go! Ware is gone. Dez Bryant is in Denver now. Demarco Murray is in Detroit and Dallas is demanding Jerry Jones' resignation as GM. Some even want him to sell the team.

2016 Hot Seat
Another season is here and we have our pre-season edition of coaches on the hot seat.

5) Mike Shanahan - Buffalo -We have no idea how he still has a job...
4) John Fox - Arizona - Talk about a coach being given NOTHING by ownership
3) Ryan Mundy - NY Jets - This team got Jack Kane #1 overall and Mundy was coaching this team to that #1 overall spot last season.
2) AJ Leary - Pittsburgh - The Steelers aren't known for firing coaches, but Leary has been awful in his two years with the team (7-25) to be
exact.
1) Ernie Cousin - Dallas - The one team in the league that you don't want to coach for and Cousin is being thrown under the bus. Look for his number to be up by Week 8.

Browns Win First Pre-Season Game

It isn't really something to get excited about but the Browns did come away with a victory. Karl Kruger showed that he does have the skills that many hoped for and Cleveland's back up O-Line made fans hope to God that none of the starters gets hurt. Both teams allowed an astounding 8 sacks on their QBs while Cleveland was able to overcome the lapses in performance - Baltimore seems like they are destined to have a rough season.

I love seeing how the drafts play out in different CCM's.

I'm excited to see how Kruger does for you.

This is looking good! Diggin' the addition of the stats

Thanks! I am having a blast with this. Although, I have a feeling that with my new goal from ownership being Conference Championship - there won't be a lot of room for failure.

Kruger seems like a beast, but it is only one pre-season game. His speed is good but not what I thought.

5 Ray Rice carries. 60 throws.

Obviously, Cam Cameron is still their offensive co-ordinator...

I know it's preseason, but still...
