Struggling against the run so far. Lets hope you turn that around. Should be tough trying to do that against the best back in football though, haha.

My awesome run defense is horrible against the run but that's because I have the rush defense reaction time slider set at 10. 20 was way too easy and while I thought about moving it to 15, I just said forget it and left everything as is. What's actually bugging me more is the miss tackles and being shrugged off half the time. I have tackling at 50 to even out the reaction time and well, my defense isnt tackling as good as it should be. Peterson will be tough especially since I used the editor to rate him 100 overall. Thankfully, their QB is average at best and they're without the best player in the secondary. I'll be playing the game and the practice beforehand in a little while. Should have the game results posted by mid-afternoon.

As expected, Vikings RB Adrian Peterson runs rampant on the 49ers defense in the first half but gets shutout in the second half as the 49ers running game steals the show en route to a 35-21 victory

SUMMARY
Everyone knew it was coming but not this quickly. On the second play of the game, Vikings RB Adrian Peterson rushed to his left, beat the blitz, broke two tackles and scored on a 72 yard TD run to kickoff the scoring for the Vikings. Peterson ran rampant over the 49ers bad rushing defense for over 150 yards and two touchdowns in the first half but near the end of the first half, the 49ers figured out the best defense against Peterson...dont give the Vikings offense the ball and thats exactly what they did. On a 4th and inches at the Vikings 31 yard line, 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh passed on the FG and decided to run the ball with Gore. That was huge because Gore rushed outside to his left and ran into the endzone for a 31 yard TD run. Second half belonged to the 49ers. The 49ers offense started the second half with the ball and like at the end of the first half, the momentum and game came down to a huge fourth down decision by head coach Jim Harbaugh. On 4th and 3 from their own 41 yard line, Harbaugh decided to go for it and once again, it paid off huge yet again. Smith completed a short five yard pass to Moss for the first down. The 49ers continued down the field that ended when LaMichael James eventually scored on an 8 yard TD run concluding a 14 play 8:46 scoring drive. After a quick punt by the Vikings, the 49ers scored yet again on a 58 yard TD run by James who had a huge game. Peterson was shutout in the second half and with the exception of a Percy Harvin TD that happened because Whitner took a bad angle and missed a tackle, the Vikings offense was non-existent. To add to the loss for the Vikings, TE Kyle Rudolph and SS Jamarca Sanford both got injured in the fourth quarter and did not return.
