I know you guys don't want to hear this, but I'm currently on a mini-vacation in Disney World (annual passholder). I'll try to come up with some update before I get back, which'll be in a little under a week.

Re: The Super Six - Bristol and Beyond

Week Three - GAME
Bristol Bulldogs vs Johnson City Eagles

Johnson City Eagles at Bristol Bulldogs
Jan 1, 1ST2ND3RD4THSCORE
Johnson City Eagles ()1430320
Bristol Bulldogs ()0014317

8/23, 88 yds, 1 TD
14 rushes, 36 yds

17 rushes, 129 yds, 7.5 avg, 1 TD, 1 fumble
2 kick returns, 26 yds (long 14)
4 punt returns, 37 yds (long 13)

3 rec, 61 yds (long 45), 1 TD

3 rec, 19 yds (long 7
)
3 kick returns, 67 yds (long 25)

2 tkls, both solo

10 tkls, 2 solo, 3 deflections

This game could be described in a few single words. Heartbreaking. Disappointing. Sloppy. Either way, the Bristol Bulldogs walked back to the locker room with a loss. Their first on the season after starting strong with two wins. The trouble started at quarterback. Van Mayard only completed 34% of his passes, for just 88 yards, although he threw no interceptions and tossed a touchdown. The only good news for the passing game? Matt Viselli caught a 5-yard pass from Mayard for his first touchdown on the season. As predicted, however, the lack of air attack provided plenty of chances for tailback Robert Bolig. He got the ball 17 times, and answered wth 129 yards, including a 69-yard touchdown run. On defense, the only strong thing was Noe Estrella having 10 total tackles, although 8 were assisted. The Bulldogs will try to rebound next week in Oak Ridge against the Pioneers.
