Van Mayard has started under center every game in his high school career. He was a stud running back and wideout in middle school, but with the high school team's need for a quarterback, and his want for more playing time, he switched over to quarterback. He utilizes his speed from his old positions to his advantage at QB, creating more opportunities for Bristol to score. His only downside, is he can be very streaky with his accuracy, but word is he has been working on it over the offseason and is ready to put on a show for scouts and attempt to lead Bristol to a State title.
Robby Bolig can shred your defense however he feels like it. He has started the past 2 years at tailback, and also played linebacker in middle school and in his freshman year. He has a little bit of everything to make defensive coordinators cringe. He's got the speed to get to the outside occasionally, but also has the strength to power through for those tough yards. He also has very soft hands for a running back, and can be just another receiving threat added to this Bristol offense. This year, he is the starting kick and punt returner and could be heavily recruited for it. The only issue for Bolig is that he can be careless when it comes to protecting the ball, which sometimes leads to turnovers. Nonetheless, Bolig is going to be a huge factor in Bristol's run to state.
Viselli might be listed as the #2 wideout on the depth chart, but is really something special. He can run and catch like no one else, but he's not very strong. He can't run block, and isn't great at fighting for yards. His route running can be shaky at times as well. Don't let those things get in your way of recruiting him. He can burn you deep, he can catch balls well in traffic despite his strength, and off the field he is just a great kid, and a good leader on this football team. I would consider this kid as underrated, and could make a huge splash playing in college football.
Kenneth, or KM3 as his friends call him, makes you regret talking bad about shorter people. He's only 5'9, but he plays like a big boy all right. He is part of the dominant receiving corps that is hosted at Bristol. Maiden is great at short bursts of speed, and he has some of the softest hands in the nation. Like Viselli, however, he is not strong. His height is also a disadvantage, when you consider receivers are getting bigger and bigger these days. If Van Mayard can find him or Viselli open, they'll be off to the races. If he can outplay his height, college scouts will be drooling over him.
Mykell is the defensive captain for Bristol. He is possibly the best coverage safety in the nation. He is very fast, which is exactly what coaches look for when looking at someone to be the "last resort" a defense has. No one gets past him through the air. If he could work on putting more effort into his tackles, he'd be absolutely amazing. Right now, his tackling can be off, which could lead to trouble if a strong running back gets free and Mitchell is the last guy to beat. With him and Noe Estrella in the defensive backfield, opposing QB's should beware.
Want a great corner in man coverage who will knock a guys socks off, AND is a genius? If so, you want Mr.
Noe Estrella. If it weren't for his football skills, he'd be going to Harvard. He'd rather go to a school where he can let hit football talents shine, and destroy some people. When they are in man, quarterbacks should think twice about throwing into "Noe Man's Land", because a pick will be ensuing. He can get a little too pumped to make a hit and can over pursue, and can look like he's never played zone before, but he is an all around beast and doesn't let receivers come off the line.
NOTE: I know equipment isn't right in pictures, but this is the high school version of your player made in teambuilder. When you are created as a recruit, your equipment will be correct.
