tough couple of losses to end the season man. But not a bad first season, definitely could have been worse. Pretty awesome seeing Oklahoma end the SEC title run, go Sooners!

This game seems to love Johnny Manziel so much that I just assumed Texas A&M would get the sim win. That 95-yard INT return was probably the difference. I assume A&M would've been driving for a score when that happened.

Man, after the October/November winning surge, it sure hurt losing the last two. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the offseason and 2nd season prep goes!

Overall that was a great season. Especially with Western Michigan. Hopefully you can keep it going into year 2.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to finding time to do that ish. Like I posted earlier, I got a new job which is 3-11 p.m., plus I'm going to still work part-time in my other job. Gotsta make bank. Really cuts into gaming time. I'm also a decent runner, so I have to make time for training. I miss the days when I could knock down three games a night!

I was fairly pleased with the results. Nothing seemed too unrealistic. I think my sliders are OK. Things got more challenging when I ditched the custom playbook, that's for sure.

Kirk Ciarrocca

Western’s offensive coordinator
defects to Northern Illinois

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — When Northern Illinois needed a new offensive coordinator, the Huskies looked at the game film of their game against Western Michigan.

They saw that the Broncos nearly kept pace with the high-powered Northern Illinois offense in a 56-35 loss to the Mid-American Conference champion on Nov. 26.

So, when the Huskies lost their offensive coordinator, Western Michigan’s Kirk Ciarrocca was snatched up. Western ranked 19th in the nation with an average of 30.1 points per game.

Stan Hixon is the new offensive coordinator at Western.

Northern Illinois will also have a new head coach, as Rod Carey left for Penn State. Jay Nieman is the new coach.

“It will be interesting to see what that does to Northern Illinois’ offense,” Western coach B-Dawg said. “Their spread option destroyed us. Will they have an entirely different look, one that is more manageable to defend?”

Five Mid-American Conference teams will have new coaches in 2014.
